  1. All your help is much appreciated.

I-129F petition was approved on the 22nd Feb 2010, due to lack of time and my fiance deploying we had to extend the petition for 4 months, which would mean it would have expired on 22nd June 2010.

Things have turned around not for the good with us, and i want to withdrawl my petition. I have not sent any of packet 3 to the consulate, last thing that was done was the extension. Im gathering it would have expired?? Im going overseas to asia in 3 weeks, to get myself back on track, will i have trouble exiting Australia or entering Indonesia as i have not cancelled/withdrawn my petition?

I if i was to just leave the petition and ignore it what would happen? Does the consulate austomatically withdraw it? if so do they advise me of this?

Thanks in advance for all your help.

  2. Hi all,

I have emailed the consulate asking for my approval of my petition to be extended. They have replied and asked for my fiance to write them and fax them a signed letter asking for the approved petition to be extended. The letter needs to state his intention to still marry me within 90 days of your arrival into the U.S on the k1 visa.

Can anyone help my fiance word this letter?

    Help is much appreciated.

  3. Anyones help is very much appreciated on this topic.

My approved petition has arrived here in Sydney, and the US Consulate has given me the go ahead to start "packet 3".

My fiance is in the military and has been under alot of stress, he has been through 3 serious facial operations within the past few months. His face keeps getting infected and the infection has ate away into his nasal canal. He is now seeking medical help elsewhere.

He can not ingage in any physical training, the pain is too bad. Their may be a possiblity he can get out on medical benifits, or the possability he may deploy in August or soon afterwards gathering he has recovered from surgery.

If he was to deploy in August, (not too far away) i would have to have my visa approved here, head to the states get married get green card approved all before he deploys..whats the chance of that? very slim chance, plus i dont want to have to rush.

On top of this the military is causing alot of stress on him in other areas. So we dont know if he will deploy? stay on rear detachment? or get out on a medical discharge?

The stress is brewing for both us and our families. We dont want this stress on us when we have just got married, thats not good for any relationship. We did not expect the visa to take this long but time has dragged on and it just happens to be that the visa is moving and the military is causing us stress.

What im trying to say is.....the stress the military has on him and the rushing to do this, is not how we want it to be, there is just way too much going on. If we were to cancel my K1, does it stop us from applying for it again or other visas for america or australia? Do i write to the USCIS and let the know its military/deployment related. I dont want them to think we just havent worked out...Just bad timing and no control over what has been thrown at us.

Our love is stronger than ever right now, but the military is not giving us answers.

Your help is very much appreciated.

  4. The email was sent to him because his info was on the I-129F. Happened to me too. No issue. Get him to forward you to email and follow the instructions there.

P3 is not sent in the mail. It is ONLY the email. So you MUST go to the links that were included in the email sent to your fiance. If those links don't work let me know because the site was recently updated. I would HOPE they updated themselves but you never know.

The only reason I have an NVC date is because my fiance was sent the NVC letter. Don't worry about the other dates. Your case is your own. Just go to the P3 links, send them the docs they want (first they need you to send them the DS230 (part 1 only) ASAP) then when you get the rest of the documents forward them with DS-1076 to tell them you're ready for interview then they'll email you P4. now they should also have included an email update form with P3 so you can be emailed stuff instead of your fiance. I sent this with the DS-230(1).

    Good luck and congrats on your approval and now P3 <img src="http://www.visajourney.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

**Edit - your case number was sent (via post) to your fiance. It should also be included in the P3 email by memory.

Thanks guys... Your help is very much appreciated. Starting to stress here a little.

The email my fiance fwded me from the US Syd consulate does not have NVC case number?

one of the links did not work. the instruction link. can you guys help me with that?

My fiance is in the military so he is often training out on the field and does not have much access to email. do you have number i can call so i can advice NVC to contact me through email in future?

thanks so much for your help.

  5. My finace rcvd an email today from the Sydney US Consulate letting us know they have rcvd our approved petition and for us to go ahead with downloading the initial instructions for packet 3.

This email was not sent to me, only him. And i have not yet rcvd anything in the mail here in sydney, and also i checked my status on the USCIS website and it has not changed since Feb 22 when our petition got approved.

I have noticed throughout other peoples timelines that they have dates for when the NVC sent their approved petitions, also when the petition has been touched. Where are people finding this information? the USCIS website doesnt tell me if my petition is touch/sent rcvd. It has only done this for NOA1/ADDITIONAL EVIDENCE/NOA2.

    Any help much appreciated.

    thank you in advance.

  6. Hi,

Im Australian and my fiance is American.

I use pre-paid (pay as you go) with Vodafone here in Oz.

I recently purchased my fiance an unlocked E63 Nokia cell phone. He use to be on a plan/contract. But it was costing him too much to rcve calls from me.

So we have chosen to go with pre-paid.

Can someone please advise a cheap cell phone company to go with. It must be pre-paid/pay as you go...NO contracts!

Preferably NO cost for him to rcve incoming calls from Australia or the U.S.

I have done a bit of research, but i dont seem to be having much luck.

    This it what im after;

    * Free incoming International/Domestic calls ---- or only a connection fee.

    * Data --- SIM card that will allow him to access the internet on his cell.

    * No contracts/plans

We both use Skype alot, but with the time difference we find its hard to meet on Skype unless its the weekend.

Main thing is for him to rcve incoming domestic/international calls for FREE.

Thank you all in advance :)

  7. Maybe a stupid question.

Iam currently in the early stages of the K1 visa process. Am i allowed to travel from Australia to America to visit my fiance for 3 weeks? I have a return ticket.

Iam booked to leave this Friday the 6th November, and just suddenly had a feeling that i cant visit him between now and when the visa gets approved.

Can i visit him while in the K1 visa process?

Your speedy replies are much appreciated.
