  1. Your right payxibka, as the same applies for me...:thumbs::thumbs:

    Looking at your timelime and for what I understand, if you've been in this country for more than 5 years, without going overseas for more than 6 months and you've been married 3 of those last 5 years with your USC husband/spouse you are eligible for citizeship. Give them a call and find out about your case, since every case is different...

    I read in this forum that if your USC sponsor was on unemployment your I485 and your I130 couldn't not and will not be approved, but that was our case and guess what? We were approved. Our case was delayed because the people we hired to do the filing of the papers made several mistakes on the info...

  2. They told you wrong about citizenship... the eligibility is the latest of the following three dates when based on an ongoing and continuous intact marriage to a USC

    3 yr wedding annivarsary

    or

    3 yrs of when you USC husband became a USC

    or

    3 yrs after your RESIDENT SINCE date on your greencard.

    For you, that application window opens 90 days before the January xx, 2010 date on your card or sometime in October 2012!!.

    What do you mean by they told me wrong? We called today again just to make sure and ask if we can travel outside the country and after speaking to 2 CS reps and 1 supervisor we were told that I'm eligible to citizenship 90 days before my 3rd wedding anniversary (that puts me at the beginning of October this year)... The only thing that can affect my citizenship process is if I'm outside of the country longer than 6 months (we're only going overseas for 1 week) and after stating that they mentioned twice that I have nothing to worry about...

  3. And the funny thing is that I almost tossed the card away, because ever since I started buying things online I have gotten tons of junk mail, so I saw my name in an unmarked envelope and thought "Oh great, more junk..." But one thing caught my eye: "Lee's Summit, MO" and I instantly knew and started screaming "Yeeeeeeeeeesssssssss"

    I thought that since every piece of mail sent by USCIS comes with either their seal or blue letters on the envelope that It'll be the same, but nope, It wasn't.... Either way we're very happy... It's a pretty card, let me tell you, it's got like a 1,000 holograms and images of the presidents and the flags in the back side...

    It's ironic how when you start this grueling process you sometimes cannot sleep, you're too preocupied, too stressed out; but now that a favorable desition has been made on your case you're to frigging happy you just can't sleep :whistle: Is this like, normal? :wacko::dance:

    Good night y'all :dance::dance::dance:

  4. I am happy to announce that today I received my GC in the mail!!!!! And it wasn't the conditional GC, it was the 10 yr one!!!!

    We're so happy! It seems that when we went to our interview (last december, almost 20 days short of our second wedding anniversary) and we were told that I'll get the conditional one for 2 years, the IO decided that we had PLENTY OF EVIDENCE (I knew that 50 lb folder with evidence came in handy :devil: So she closed the case, opened to review it on Jan 2nd (day of our 2nd wedding anniversary) and on the 8th we received an update via regular mail that our I485 was approved, that my GC should arrive in 30 days and to read it carefully to check for any mistakes so they can correct them at once...

    So we called them today, and asked about citizenship (I know, I know, a bit greedy considering the fact that if they wanted to ,they could have issued the 2 yr conditional GC) and they told me that 90 days before my 3rd wedding anniversary (October of this year) I should start the citizenship process :blink::dance::thumbs:

    Now I can sleep better at night, go visit my family overseas and have a normal life, all this time that we were feeling miserable and impotent because mistakes made by others in our case, RFE's and all that; ALL WENT AWAY because of the big, compassionate and kind heart of an IO that saw beyond any evidence... To all of you still waiting for any results in your case, keep the faith and pray, it can be done!

    God Bless, congrats to all that already have good news and my prayers and good vibes to those that have an upcoming interview... See you here again to change status/citizenship, best of luck!!!! :thumbs::thumbs::thumbs::thumbs::star::star::star::star:

  6. Hi everyone,

    I just want to say thanks to this wonderful site and all the vjers. We just went to our interview this Friday in Reno and everything went smoothly. (I think it helped that we took our 1 year old that looks just like his dad.)

    The interviewing officer was very friendly. She asked the following questions.

    home phone number? She just asked how we met. What kind of wedding did we have? What day was our son born? and instead of her asking us our address she said do you still live at...? Then she asked for proof of our relationship, lease, utility bills, bank statements, etc.

    She did not ask for current medical exam, didn't bother to look at pictures, or 1040's and w2s. The only thing she kept was a copy of our son's birth certificate. The interview took approximately 20 mins. Thank God it's over :dance:

    Congratulations, now you can take some time off this ever grueling process and go back to life as usual (until lifting conditions)... Enjoy! :dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance:

  7. hello everybody i'm still waiting for news on my case i haven't heard anything new, updates no nothing i am starting to get a little bit anxious , hopefully i will hear somenthing soon.

    wishing u a good day

    Don't be anxious, everything will be fine... Don't rely on updates as they sometimes are not 100% accurate and sometimes the personnel that runs the webpage is a bit lazy... Before the end of the month I'll think you'll get a favorable desition on your case... Good luck dear! :thumbs::star:

    Apppproooved :)

    CONGRATULATIONS!!!! :thumbs::dance::thumbs::dance::thumbs::dance::thumbs::dance::thumbs:

    Recieved Greencard in mail yesterday, date on that card says 12/23 so I guess that means they were again slow at updating the website and I was approved the day after they recieved my RFE. :D

    Congratulations Martin and Raven!! :thumbs::dance::star::thumbs::dance::dance::dance:

  8. Thank you so much. I was really and felt good to receive the GC. I started the job today and it was interesting. Just waiting for paycheck soon...lol...I bet you will have a good new soon.. Happy Holiday!

    Congrats again, I'm also waiting for my paycheck since I worked on Christmas and according to the company's policy they ay double that day :dance::dance::dance: On the other hand we're still waiting for our GC on the mail... Today it's been 15 days since the interview and even though I know everything is just fine I won't sleep good until I have my GC on hand :wacko:

    Happy New Year to all! :dance::dance::thumbs::thumbs::thumbs:

  9. Ok, here's the update on our case...

    Last saturday we got a letter saying that our I130 was approved but that unfortunately at this time there's no visa number that can be given to your relative. As soon as one becomes available your relative can apply for a I485 to Adjust Status"

    Duuuuhhhh, but I485 was filed along with the I130 :bonk:

    So yesterday we recieved a 'Welcome to the United States' and that I was going to get the 2 year Conditional Resident card :blink: Ok, I'm officially freaked out :help:

    We called USCIS and one of the CS guys tranferred us to a Supervisor who informed us that the case was closed and reopened (the words were "they were going to deny the case, then they reopened again, but just disregard any notice/message/e-mail or text information you'll get telling you that your case is being investigated/reviewed because the IO approved you on the spot"...

    And that was it.... :unsure::unsure::unsure:

    Now we can get on with our lives :dance::dance::dance::dance:

    Thanks to all of you who prayed and sent us good vibes throughout all this "messy mes" :)

  10. Thanks :)

    USCIS told me the SS office should be able to do a "status verification" and see that the K1 holder that entered in maiden name is same person as permanent resident in married name. So seems my SS office is a little confused.. Hopefully will get this sorted without infopass. USCIS told me to bring marriage cert and birth cert along with passport and GC to trip next week.

    Freyja IM SO HAPPY FOR YOUUUUUU.... :dance:

    I knew you'll get a favorable response before Christmas!!! :thumbs:

    On our case we decided to call USCIS and they told us that our case was closed and that they were going to deny it (I almost fainted), but that someone made a mistake at the USCIS webpage and at the administration and yesterday I received an approval for my I130... It says that there is no visa for me (I don't need a visa, I need my GC, Lol)... They said I should be getting my GC within 3 weeks, due to this mistake.

    That is a confirmation of what we always knew, that the webpage is being run by people hired as temps... No coordination or synchronization whatsoever... Needless to say that my heart skipped a beat, but thanks God that they told us to disregard any deny notifications by the webpage or by mail, that our case was APPROVED on the 14th and that's it.

    I hope all the Sept. filers have a GC by Xmas and before this year comes to an end...

    Good luck to all :star::dance::thumbs:
