  1. We sent ONLY the DS-3025 (a certified copy with a raised seal, but I don't know how crucial that is) from his medical in New Zealand. Check your own DS-3205; does it have the box next to "all vaccinations complete" ticked? If so, you SHOULD be okay. We also wrote in the list of package contents (in our cover letter) something to the effect of "form DS-3205, showing completion of required vaccinations, as per section 'blah blah' of I-485 instructions"

Thanks for the feedback. Annoyingly, in London they have a policy of checking the "incomplete' box to cover themselves should the requirements change between the medical and filing the forms. This seemed like nonsense to me but the lady wouldn't change her mind. If I put that explanation in the cover letter and point out that the boxes on the form are in fact all filled out, I hope that will be good enough. i think a cover letter is certainly a good idea.

  2. I have seen postings on this both ways and wonder whether any 2010 filers for AOS who came through the K1 process could advise.

I had the full medical and vaccination profile in the UK in Nov 2009 and will file for AOS in August 2010 after marriage.

The most recent advice notes for the I-693 medical form say that if you've had that you don't need to file that form. However I've seen some posts that say i do need to get the vaccination signed and transcribed by a civil surgeon, but they go back a few years. I can send a copy of my DS-3025.

    What have recent filers done?

    Many thanks!

  3. This was something I worried about when I was making visits to my now fiance, then boyfriend. There is no need to worry, in my experience. Bring the proof that you mentioned of return ticket and letter from your school. I usually said I was visiting friends, but after several visits the agent asked if it was a special friend. We had a laugh about that, but as long as you are genuinely making a visit under 90 days you should be fine.

  4. Thanks for all the information on this site. It has really helped in my visa journey so far!

Have any other UK members entered the US via the POE at Dublin airport?

I'm from Northern Ireland (UK passport) and I'm considering going to the US (to Philly) through Dublin when I get my K1 as I will be in Northern Ireland saying goodbye to my friends and family before leaving. It saves a jump from Belfast in the wrong direction to London then a connecting flight to US.

I've gone through pre-clearance in Dublin in the past on the visa waiver with no problems (although very long lines!). Just wondering whether they will do my K1 there? Will it be a problem as I am a UK citizen not Irish?

    Thanks!
