Any Cebuanas here living in Pennsylvania? I just arrived here two months ago thru K1 visa and will have my biometrics on d 22nd of April. I haven't meet any Filipinos near in my place in Shavertown. It would be nice and a big help in my adjustment if I will meet some filipinos here.... By the way, I grew up in Dalaguete, Cebu!!!!!

heyy we do have the same case.. i recently had my interview just 2 days ago and i was told to wait but i forgot to ask for how long should i wait but oh well

so now also wondering how long till i hear from them.. but everyone says they cant really tell (which sucks)

so i have no idea on whats going on! it would suck though if we wait longer and then we get the ''denial'' i hope not!! =/

did you even call them see whats up now?and how long has it been since you waited for the result?

2) 2500 a month is more than enough for 2 of you

3) i dont know if there is a set guidance on this

4) I would call after a day or 2

Did they keep your passport? If they did that is a good thing, but did you fill out the stuff for air 21?

yes, they do have my passport.. and i did fill out the air21 form..

thing is what makes it a good thing while they can always return it without a VISA and they can also return my documents with the address i gave air21 right?if they are not satisfied with it.. god i hope not!! =/

during my interview i was asked for my fiance's evidence of sustained current income..

and i did show him payslips and certification of employment but he is looking for the one that shows his job title, his pay each month/year and the company's name..

and the consul told me he believes in our relationship that it is genuine but he is looking for this evidence to make sure he can support the 2 of us

and i even asked the consul that i have his parents financial docs. if its okay but he refused it cause he is saying that it should be my fiance's.

so he said ''if you can give me this supporting docs. today this will be over soon! and advised me what to do..like tell my fiance to scan them for me then come back today and give it to them so im finished and so i did

i came back by 1 pm and thought there would be another interview so i know if im approved or not that day. butwhat happened is that the windows or how ever you call the windows who did the pre interview was the one i had to go to. and after that they told me im done i can now go home and just wait till i hear from them..but i forgot to ask how long till i hear from them.. (So stupid of me) but whatever i was left hanging so..

my questions are the following:

1) how long till i hear from them with this case of mine and my fiancee?

2) do you think i will still get denied with this, although it was stated in my fiance's paper that he is receiving 2500 USD a month?

3) what is the maximum days of waiting on this?

4) should i call the US embassy call center to ask? or wait a lil more like 7 days then call them? (just running out of patience) =/

i will be glad to hear anything from you guys!! im open for any suggestions and compliments on this..

will the US embassy require an engagement ring for fiancee visa?

im just wondering cause .. im now waiting for the NVC thingy and i think im a lil closer for my interview

and i dont have an engagement ring cause my fiancee and i lived together for 10 months and we only had 2 weeks left when we were told that he was flying home from getting laid off from the company he was working here .. and we're gonna make it all official when i get to the US..

so i dont know for now!! i need an answer to my question please!!

my fiancee and i lived together while he was here in cebu philippines for work!

and when he was laid off with his job he had to go home and find another job while we are processing the k1 fiancee visa

but unfortunately no matter how hard he was hunting jobs there wasnt anything for him just yet!

and he's doing a part time with his mom now and not getting paid much

and also he wasn't paying taxes last year cause he was in phil the whole year working and he's still not paying now cause he's not hired yet

so my questions are

1. with him not paying taxes last year, what do you think we should do? is it a biggy?

2. i heard theres a poverty rate whatsoever! you think my fiancee is gonna be affected? cause he's not getting much?

3. if that, what about a co-sponsor?
