It has been about 2 months and I still haven't heard from USCIS. What could be taking this long?. Should I contact my Congressman?

It has been more than a month since my interview and I haven't received anything yet. At the interview the IO said that it would take from 2-3 weeks to get the Oath Letter and that my Oath will be at Kansas City Missouri Courthouse. Any recommendations on what I should do?. The dates for the Oath at the KC MO Courthouse are January 14th, February 18th, March 10th. I have to plan a visit to my Country and currently I can't because I don't know when I'll get the letter.

That means that they issued you a notice for Fingerprinting. Actually, any correspondence you're going to receive is going to be from National Benefits Center in Lees SUmmit. I actually live in Lees Summit and I didn't know that first but I have seen it on many VJer's notices.

I had my interview on Friday, I was given a Forn N-652. The IO checked the box "Congratulations! Your application has been recommended for approval.". Since the final approval is not Granted yet, should I expect CRIS status to change soon?.

Hi guys: I got my 10 years green card in the first week of september 2009 based on marriage. My question is how long I have to wait to apply for the citizenship?

On marriage based cases, you need to have permanent resident status and married to a U.S. Citizen for three years before you can apply. Your green card should say Resident Since, add 3 years to that date. USCIS lets you apply 90 days before you meet the 3 year requirement. So you can apply

Your Application = Resident since date + 36 months - 3 months

I filed my application last month, and I didn't mention the 2 speeding tickets I have had over the last 5 years in the question 16. I didn't know that citations included traffic violations until now. Can my application be denied based on that?.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

USCIS Office Address (National Benefits Center, Lee's Summit, MO....)

USCIS Custmber Service Number (aka. the "mis-information line").

The "receipt number" is the "Application Number: NBC*XXXXXXXXX". If you have this information on your NOA, then this is your reciept number. You can then use this number to check your case status online and/or to further inquire your case with the USCIS officials.

If you don't have this number on the NOA, then yes, do inquire with the USCIS about getting such a number for your case.

Hi, I sent a USPS money order so I can't track when it clears. Plus I forgot to sign my Address and Employment continuation sheets. Everything else is in order. Will my case be rejected?.

I would wait a while yet. Sometimes the NOA takes a few weeks to arrive. They 'may' return the application, however, I think that is unlikely. You will be attending an interview so they may just have you sign the form at the interview instead. Be patient - I feel confident you should get your NOA in the coming week.

Hi I sent my N-400 on September 23rd. And USCIS Recieved it on the 25th. I still haven't got the NOA yet. Is it normal?

I just noticed on M-476 that every continuation sheet needs to be signed and dated. I forgot to sign on the continuation sheet that included address and employment. Everything besides that is in perfect order. Would my Case be rejected based on that?. Since I sent a USPS money order I can't track whether they have cashed it or not.

Any suggestions or information will be greatly appreciated.
