They said i should expect that back in 2 weeks or earlier, never mentioned before Christmas. It would be nice to have it before though....

I'm not really sure but I think your wife is the U.S. citizen? Do you both live in Canada or does she live in the U.S.

Just wondering because of the whole domicile thing - if she lives in the U.S. it's a non-issue.

Well its the other way. My husband is the USC. He lives in States. They did ask him how many times has he travelled to Canada and about the duration of his visits. My husband did take Proof of Mortgage, Utility bills and phone records showing the calls were actually been made from the US. Seems like they knew everything about us thats why we were never asked for any proof...

I think the Requirements differ from case to case...

Sounds exactly like the K-1 interview process, which surprises me a little bit, but not necessarily in a bad way! That's great that you were out of there so early!

There were no domicile questions etc.? What proof was asked for, if any?

We were not asked any Questions regarding Domicile, We did take lots & lots of proof with us but was never even asked to show any!!! It depends on every Case...

One thing is for sure, the CO had studied our case in detail and knew everything about us. I would say it's more of them Verifying our answers to what they have...

Sorry for this late response, every one has been waiting for the review. Here we go!!!

We got to the embassy around 7:00 AM. We were the first one in line. It was extremely cold because it was the first day of snow. I would suggest everyone to wear something extremely warm, cover yourself properly with thick few layers of clothing, scarf, gloves and hat etc. They Opened the doors at 7:30AM. We got the A1 number. After the extensive security check, we were sent to a waiting lounge. We waited for 10 min before the guard came and took us upstairs in the elevator. He took our appointment letter and asked us to wait in the waiting area for our name to be called in the widow 6-12. We waited for 25 min before we were called to window 9. By now it was like 8:05 AM. There was a very nice and polite lady who greeted us and asked for the sealed medical, passport and Xpresspost Envelope. She never took my pics or Xray. She did tell me, to keep it for my records. After taking my fingerprints, asked us to go back in the waiting area and wait for my name to be called again. We waited again for 30 min and was like 8:45 before we were called in room 8 for our interview.

It was a very small room, with a guy behind a glass greeting us and asking us to put all our stuff on the chair and take a Oath. Interviewer was firm, serious and straight to the point. We were asked few questions. Which state i was going, How did we first met, How many times have you visited states, Have you ever had trouble on the border. It took no more than 10 min. After That I was given welcome to America letter and told congratulations you are approved and should expect your passport back within 2 weeks. We were the first ones out by 9:00AM. I would highly suggest to get to the embassy early, because as time passed more and more people started to come in and had to wait long.

I have tried to cover my whole experience. If i could be of any more help to anyone, please don't hesitate to ask.

Added thund3r - I took the dates that I could use from your posting - i'm using Sept. 11th as your completion date at NVC (it took 4 months to get from USCIS to NVC after your NOA2)?

I am confused. why did CO montreal ask for your husband D papers. if they never asked while filing I-130 or at the NVC. Did you guyz forgot to mention in the application about previous marriage and the now the case is in AP. Hopefully it will be resolved soon. I would email the embassy and try to find out.

My interview was on 12th Nov in Montreal, we were missing one document my hubby's divorce papers, the guy who interviewed us gave us

a fax number and asked us to fax the D papers and once they receive they will start processing and we should get the Visa in One week,

my hubby faxed the papers on 13th Nov at 11 am.

My concern is people who attended the interview after me received Visa, any one can suggest me anything ??? I have to vacate my house

end of this month, also I stopped working assuming I will be moving with my hubby to the US.

Please help me with you suggestions.

Got the email Today, I called NVC yesterday and they said they have me schedule for Dec 10. i asked em how come have not recieved any email. they started saying the same old 3 rd week stuff. Anywayz you never know what to expect from them. Good luck to everyone out there waiting patiently for an interview.

I am curious as to what you hope to gain/accomplish with this information? Those of us that have been waiting for our interview are still waiting.

Have you written like lgg and me and others have? Are you trying to make things better for all? I have Senators and Congressman saying" I just don't know" " Montreal is telling us nothing" Do you have an inside source? Please share.

May be that is the Question we should all be asking NVC. They are the one saying that. I called NVC and spoke with a Supervisor name: Sue. After me being on the phone for a long time. I was told all end of june and most of july completions should get interviews in December. I Guess nothing is for sure with NVC. May be they said it because i was extremely upset, just like you all. I would like to see Everyone getting interviews soon. Goodluck to all those still waiting.

All the End of June and most of the July NVC Completion dates will get interviews in December. Montreal will be assigning interviews early December until 20th, Because of the Holidays. This is coming from NVC supervisor. Best of Luck to Everyone out there, still waiting for an Interview.

:whistle:HEY EVERYONE WE GOT AN INTERVIEW !!!!!!!!!!! NOV. 18 AT 9:00AM YEHAWWWWWWW!!!! wow I'm so excited oh my oh my... I thought we would be like....never. oh wow now I know the excitement everyone is going through wow. I am totally shocked I had my self convinced there wouldnt be an interview til maybe December if we were lucky. I called the DOS number first thing. Like 8:31 (they open at 8:30) and the lady was really nice. oh my...Hopefully they start doing everyone quickly and this isnt too bad a wait. Ok... sorry I'm rambling and of course my husband is at work and I can't even tell him. Thank you VJ for all the reassurance

DTI - Days between completion at NVC and interview

My Case case was completed and sent to Montreal on 15th June, I read that it takes max 4 months to get interview and was so hoping

to get my interview on Oct, that didn't happen. Anyways hoping to get some good luck for November.

Anyone here going thru the same situation ??

Yes. It took 144 days for us to get an interview date (completed June 4th, interview October 26th). You will almost certainly be November. But the waiting is endless . . .

I have been completed with NVC since July 14. waiting for montreal Interview like you guyz. Anyone got interview date for November.
