  1. Woooo hooooo I got my US citizenship on 03/19/2015 !!

Dear Members, I thank you all and those who were around during my K1 processing in 2009 for the wonderful support you gave me during the process. I could always turn to the forum with queries. Not only did I get accurate information there is also psychological support from the members of this forum especially during 2009 when I was trying for the K1 and it seemed a daunting task ......

I also thank and appreciate the admins and other active members of this forum who make sure all questions are replied and replied accurately. I know it takes time and effort.

Perhaps you will still see me around as I am going to start the citizenship procedure for my son.......

  2. Dear all,

I had my interview less than an hour ago and approved !! :-) It was easy like everyone says but I feel the stress when a test is involved !! So read the questions and answers over and over agian :-) After going in, I was asked to take oath, the gentleman verified information, asked questions, one line reading and one line writing and after that I answered the first 6 questions right. Given a congratulations sheet and told I will be called for the oath.

    One tip:

When he asked if I have any questions, I asked if I need to inform anyone if I travel international before the oath ceremony. The answer is "no". Just travel on the existing passport and be back before the oath ceremony.

    All the best everyone.

  3. I did not update my status for some time. Sorry about that. Here it is

Notice for receipt of application 12/3/14

    Yellow letter: 12/16/14

    Biometrics: on 1/9/15

    Interview: 3/3/2015

Also FYI: After I received the yellow letter I realized I did not check a couple of boxes (important questions I would say relating to marriage) in the initial application due to overlook. Did not affect negatively, thank goodness!

  4. Messybrownhair and Gen, Thank you so much for pointing me to the evidence documents checklist. I was only reading the N-400 instructions documents where they listed only two evidence documents. Kind of misleading or maybe I missed something? I will go to the website again and do a lot of ground work!

  5. You read other posts? Well, did you also read the official instructions from the USCIS?

In the event that you didn't, I've posted the link here: http://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/files/form/n-400instr.pdf

Reading it will comprehensively answer your question.

I meant USCIS instructions asks for only greencard copy and photographs.

Posts from other's in the forum has a longer list of evidence being submitted not asked for by USCIS. Wonder if I really should submit evidence not asked by USCIS????

  6. I am going to apply for my citizenship during April 2014

I was reading the instructions and have a question about submitting evidence

The evidence asked by USCIS is

    1. Copy of my permanent residence card

    2. Photographs

I have read other posts where they submitted other evidence like tax returns etc. May I have more information about the evidence that needs to be submitted along with N-400 form? Thanks
