  1. I've been able to work since September. For weeks I've been applying online and made numerous phone calls.

For people who are getting frustrated, waiting to hear something back is normal. This week my hard work is finally paying off. On monday I had my first job interview for a cashier position at The Home Depot. This afternoon I have another job interview at Payless shoes and on monday another one at Kohls.

Do as many job interviews you can and select what fits the best for you. I have no experience when it comes to sales since I've always been a CNA in my homecountry. I just want to start somewhere and get a paycheck so I can go to college for a while.

    Don't give up!

  2. We all knew since the beginning we would have a long waiting time.Being without the one you love is hard, and yes time seems to go even slower.

But seriously..there's no reason to get frustrated about something that small. We shouldn't have started this process in the first place if we have no patience and are jealous. After all,our day will come too.

Blah blah blah. Thanks Dr. Phil for your input :) I'll make sure I pass along those "positive vibes"

    whatever...

  3. So Igor's list was kind of fun to check till last week :) We should start a new online gambling service on the approvals (when and who gets approved).....IGOR might make some big money from that! Well until the USCIS catches on and then I'm sure there will be a filing fee for that too........hey so Im trying to laugh a bit since the approvals nosedived! It would be a nice Christmas present for sure!

  4. A small question about the medical exam. When should I go get mine? We've sent in our I-129F to CSC at the end of September. Can I already make an appointment now a couple of months before the interview or should I wait until I get my NOA2? The more I get done now,the better!

Also people who can tell me where I should go to? I'm from Belgium.

    Thanks in advance,

    Marlies

The US Embassy will inform you when they received all your documents from NVC, then they will inform you of the steps to follow including medical exams, police reports, etc, etc.

You could start putting things together making sure you have all the vaccines, possibly visit your GNY, making sure your blood tests are in order.. If you visit the US Embassy website, you will find a list of approved doctors and a list of medical requirements..

    Hope this helps,

    vp

    thanks for the information!

    Is this right?

  6. Its great to be here. Seems to lift a little weight off the shoulders when you see so many other people going through the same thing as you.

    Welcome to VJ

It is pretty amazing how many people are going through the same process.

I think we can find lots of support and sharing information here.

Do you want a checklist of what all needs to be in your package?

    Have a good one

I never would have thought so many people were going through this same process! Ellie and I talk about that from time to time where it seems like no one has a clue what we are going through and then I come here and see all of you guys! I would love to have a checklist of what all needs to be in the package if you wouldn't mind. Thank you so much! I'm off of work tomorrow and am going to try and get a lot done.

    here you go

    - $ 455 no cash,we did it by check

    - the form i-129f must be filled in by the petitioner

    - i-129f supplement if neccessary; part B question 18,how u meet in person

    - g-325a and passport style photo petitioner ( 4 copies)

    - g-325a and passport style photo beneficiary

    - birth certificate or US passport from petitioner

    - copy of final divorce decree (if that is the case)

    - letter certifying intent to marry from petitioner and one from the beneficiary

    - proof of having met in person in the past two years.

All of this you will have to type on a cover letter.

  7. What do you think this is attributed too? We sent in a huge package almost a hundred pages and tons of documentation! We have spent the last year together and she has traveled here twice. First trip was almost 40 days and the last trip was right at a year on a B2 visa....Will this help our process or do you think some people are just lucky :) Very interested to understand the process and figure out the differences....Thanks in advance for any info and congrats on a speedy approval! We sent ours out yesterday and hope for the same!!! James and Marlies!!!!!!
