  1. Interview over - welcome to the US!!! Wife entered the country through Toronto - amazing that the border guards still had to give her a hard time. What is it with the guards in Toronto!! (US border patrol) I was never treated rudely by the Canadian guards. The guard actually scared her and told her the visa means nothing, she needs to file more papers, etc, etc....(is this WW@ all over - sh9ow me your papers???) ya know maybe that is what is the main problem in this country (US). We spend more time screwing with the folks who paid the fees, filed the forms, waited, and waited, and waited, and went through the whole process than we do with the illegal entrants. The system is just not working the way it is supposed to.

Anyway, the wife is on the way and as far as the BG that gave her such a hard time, well, all I can say is that Karma can be a real ###### sometimes. Good luck to everyone else and I hope you all find border personnel who don't think it is necessary to be rude and frighten someone just to build their own ego.

I been to states 3 times. I'm a tiny girl and you won't find a more honest and innocent looking one. Every single time i have gone through the border i been questioned and treated like a criminal. Twice they have taken me to the back room to question me. I hate the border people from the bottom of my heart. And it scares me to death to even think that i will have to be dealing whit them again whit all these papers. I really hope i find a nice one to deal whit my papers this time. And i hope everyone else does too.

  2. Had my interview yeasterday. I got accepted!

It was an easy interview. I sat there for an hour, of which 5 minute was action.. They just asked few simple questions like where we met, where i work, where my husband works. And then of the lil insident i had at the boarder one time. In the end the interviewer just said " You're visa aplication has been accepted" in a tone of voise that it was already decided, i just asked the questions for fun.. :D

Now i just need to wait for the visa to come in mail and get my flight tickets!! Good luck to everyone to their interviews and to those who still wait, keep the hope up and enjoy of every day :)

  3. I am filling out form I-864 for my immigrant wife. My household member is filling out form I-864A. Do I need to answer any questions in Part 3 of form I-864?

In the official instructions it says something about the part being only for the joint sponsors, but it is all so messy i'm not sure what i should put in it.

  4. I was wondering if there has ever been a case of the co-sponsor being too old? or do they care for the age of the co-sponsor?

We are using my husbands dad as a co-sponsor and he is already 75 years old. Still working though and making a ton of money (wayyy over the poverty lines). But should we include assets or something to guarantee that if he suddenly retires or dies, we would still have money to support me?

  5. And our speedy jorney continues! I-864 bill shows paid and today came back an email of my DS-3032 had been acepted. Maybe tomorrow get our I-864 packed mailed! Then just waiting to get the IV-Bill paid and send it.

(i just took a ton of my stuff to a fleamarket to sell it away. I don't know what i'm going to do whit all this stuff i have >_< too big piles of junk at my home...)

  6. Ok i have a messy question about the tax stuff... I myself don't know anything of how the US taxes work and my husband doesn't know much nether. Anyone have any insight into this and we apriciate every piece of detail.

Our co-sponsor has not yeat submited the year 2010 taxes. He had an extension on his taxes (so instead of having to file them in april his deadline is in october). He worked in Russia that year and if he starts doing everything now it will take the russian people a month to send all the tax stuff and everything to U.S. He told us though that he could go tomorrow to the local tax person and ask them to fill the papers for him but not file it yeat and he would get an official paper from his tax returns he is going to do soon anyway.

We were just wondering would this kind of "cheating" really be ok? Will they check the inffo at the NVC? Or will they just acept all the tax inffo in the papers whitout questioning it? I'm really carefull about doing everything honestly and by the laws, and this sounds kinda fishy to me. But I would hate to wait another month just to receive the real taxpapers from russia.

Or would it be ok to use the three last years before 2010 and explain them why we don't have last years (2010) tax returns yeat?

  7. Case number assinged!! Now i need to wait till monday to call an operator and give our email adresses and ask for the IIN!! Maybe i get to sent the DS-3032 soon next week!! Keep on calling there people! Took us 10 workdays from when they send us the NOA2, 15 days alltogether.

This is going really fast for us. It's taking less time than it normally seems to have for others. Yay us!

  8. I have been calling AVR system and the still don't have any details for our case. I spoke with CSR today and she mentioned that it takes about 10 to 15 business day to have information (case # and INN). Any luck for you guys?

Same here. Been calling the AVR system every day and still not a case #.. We received our NOA2 on 27th, so 9 bussiness days gone.. Should get something soon then...

What all will they give you when they assinge the case #? INN? Will they create any bills yeat? or only after the DS-3032 been sent? Any ideas?

  9. Ok so the 1040 is just the number code for a tax return.

So does it mean that it doesn't really help to have them bouth as co-sponsors? Since they can't be joint sponsors? Should we try get someone else that is not a household member to joint whit his brother instead of having his father as a co-sponsor too?

Sorry for all these guestions. I just want to be sure we doing this right and it will work. And i'm bit slow at getting this >_>

  10. Hey i have a question about how important the pay stubs are? Will the tax records be sufficient enough?

My husband is unembloyed, has been for a long time. We are going to use his fathers (who is a household member) and his brothers income as affidavit. The broblem is that they are bouth selfemloyed as oil pipeline welders. They make a lot of money out of it during a year. Now they been on a longer holiday home and have just gone back to working and therefore they don't have any paystubs to show at the moment since they have not yeat received any pay.

I was wondering if we should wait (in agony) for them to get some paystubs or would it be ok to send just the tax returns and all the assets information they have?

  11. I have no idea if they let me to whitdraw my aplication to enter.. but the papers. It is a "record of sworn statement in administrative proceeding" and it is the documentation of the interview.

In the beginning he is telling me that he is desiring to take my sworn tatement regarding my apolication for admission to the united states and asking me if i'm willing to ansver his questions. Then he is asking me my name, if my parents been in states where i am from and so on. At the end he says " You are refused to the united states under the visa waiver program under section 212(A) (7) (a) (i) (I) as an immigrant whitout documentation and on any subsequent trips you will be required to get a visa before coming to the United states."

  12. Ok i'm not sure which box should i check.. Removal or Exlusion/deportation.

I had aplied for a tourist visa to the united states and got denied. I didn't know that i was not allowed to enter united states anymore whitout a visa and the new ESTA program in internet gave me green papers. So i tried to enter and i told in the green form you have to fill i had been denied a visa. Then they took me to custodity and sent me home on next plane. So what should i check? and should i include the ducument from the interview at the airport where i tell why i had tried to come to states?

Does this cause me to need some other papers for the I-130 packet?

  13. Ok i know this is a freaquently asked question and also as often asnsvered "No do not get a laywyer". If our case would be just the normal plain thing i would not even consider waisting my money on a laywyer. But its' not and I just can't decide myself and i want to know other peoples oppinions on our case..

First of all I have a refusal to enter into states on my record. ( i aplied for a tourist visa and got denied. No one told me i was not anymore allowed to enter states whitout a visa and i tried to get there. Was sent home ofcourse..)

Second my husband is on a disability payment (which i have understood is not to be mentioned at any point unless directly asked?)and we were going to use his dad as a sponsor. His dad though is very old, but still working and getting a real high pay. I dunno if he will be aceptable as a sponsor because of his age though?

and last: my man is a lazy #### and is not itrested to study anything himself recarding this whole matter. I was thinking that maybe he would react better into laywer asking for him to do something than me...

I have no idea how much one would even cost us. Any aproximate sums anyone could tell me?
