  1. Tomorrow is the big day!!!! I think we have everything ready to go. We've been having issues receiving mail from USCIS. Supposedly they mailed out an approval letter for the AP on May 7th and we still haven't received it. I'm afraid if they approve the greencard, we will have issues receiving it as well. I've verified with the USCIS office and they have our correct address. I spoke with the post office and they were not helpful. Both of our names are on the mailbox. So I'm not sure why we are not receiving all of our mail. Does anybody know if they allow pick-up at the local office for the greencard? Do they ship it USPS mail or does it need to be signed for by UPS or FedEx?

    Goodluck!

  2. Hi Vj members, I finally received packet 3 yesterday which gives me a happier feeling after waiting over ten days before it arrived at the post office. This is a question i want to ask to anyone who knows the answer. My fiance filed the petition for me and my two kids since they will be getting visas and there will be a $240.00 U.S each that must be paid at the embassy on the day of the interview. Does it mean that a paymment of $720.00 U.S for the three of us or its only the $240.00 that must be paid since they are under my petition?

You all will pay separate fees!

  3. Aww thanks for asking on my behalf. But yes is, he was able to travel to kingston to get police record. But the register office was already closed for no impediment. By a chance do you know if they will mail the no impediment? Bc it a far drive and cost effective. But he has to go back in 21 days for pr

You have to go back to pick up impediment form.

  5. Well, all I wished for was my husband to be home for Christmas and it looks like that isn’t going to happen for this year. I feel very sad right now!! :( :( :(

It seems that they are always wanting more from people, it is never enuff!! You have a original divorce paper and a clear police report and they still want another court document regarding the divorce WTH… I understand it is just a delay but lets get real a original divorce paper and a clear police report what else could they want.

It's never enough girl. Keep the faith you are close to the end!

  6. I’m trying to plan a cost effective wedding. I’m wondering if anyone has any suggestions for an inexpensive wedding in Jamaica. I’m trying to keep a small wedding.

I’m thinking some where in Montego Bay.

On another not. I was meeting with a lawyer about the immigration process.

And her work of caution. Was have your fiancé provided you with a police record

So your 100% sure that the filling of the papers can work.

I never thought about this and have known my fiancé since 2007.

I trust his word but her you can never be to sure. He has agreed to get

In for me so we can move forward with out plans.

Good idea about the Police Certificate.
