What we did is we search which congressman covers our district and in his website,you can see their forms to fill up for whatever reason you need their help for. (funny thing is I thought It doesn't matter which congressman to write as long as he is from our city but I was actually wrong when we got a call from that office telling us that it should be the other one so we just ask them to forward it to the other guys office). So anyways, just make sure its the right one for your district to avoid delays cause by days of forwardings and mailing stuffs..To continue, I filled up the form with my husband's infos (cause he's the usc) and we wrote a letter in a different page cause its pretty long and explained about our problem (that its been taking too long,blah,,blah..) and I also include a copy of the transfer notice i got from uscis. If you're not sure what to write, you can search about it,some people wrote some examples.that's what i did too.i hope it helped.

Congrats !! My case has been pending since Sept 09 and I would like to contact my congress man but to be honest i have no idea how it work or how i can contact them. Could you please give me and advise. thank you

Ours was transferred since Nov 09 and last Friday (7 MONTHS LATER) they updated the case because I called them and the update say that the case was transferred to the USCIS Office, now I'm worried and confuse because I guess that mean we are going to have an interview.Our cases must have something in common that they are holdind them for along time.

Same with me I got tranferred Oct 09 since that nothing . My case still in initial review.

Have you changed your address since you filed by any chance? I would contact your local Congressman/Senator and have them do an inquiry on your case.

Im a little confused my case was tranferred to CSC since Sep 09 and I havent had a touch since Nov 09 is somebody in the same case? i ahve conatcted uscia and they sent a letter saying that they are working on my case but the letter came from my local office not fro CSC, It has been a long time and Im getting nervous about it I really want to go home to visit my Mom but Im scare to leave the country with the advance parole. Please i need some advise. Thanks

Im in the same situation as you. We applied in September also and our case was transferred in Oct 16 our last touch was Nov 3 since that no news about the case. I called them last month and they told me they were working on cases from August so I guess by the end of February or the beginning of March we may hear from them.

A mi me paso lo mismo con mi visa de turista me la cancelaron en Diciembre del 2007 my prometido ahora mi esposo ingreso la solicitud para fiance visa en Marzo del 2008 y fue aprovada en Enero del 2009 ese fue mi caso pero el tiempo puede variar por que cada caso es diferente.

Estos procesos son largos y estresantes por eso no debes desesperarte, ustedes tiene un bebe y ademas ya estan casados talvez eso te ayude a que el preceso sea mas rapido.

Te deseo mucha suerte y ojala muy pronto puedas estar con tu esposo y tu bebe.

I have a question, the processing time for I485 at CSC say 4 months my question is the counting begins when you send your application or from the date the case was tranferred?

Essentially from the day the petition is received (the received date on the NOA1).

My case was trasferred on Oct 16 and my last touch was Nov 3 , I have been checking some timelines similar that mine and find out that some of them already received approval notices for AOS. Should i be worried about my case ? Shoul I call and find out whats going on o? I know I sound anxious but with the USCI you never know.

On November 18, 2009, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I765 APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION.

and cris shows me on post decision activity and before i as on card production o.O

Hi same thing happened to me . I got 2 card productio orders and then I got the card same day I got an email saying they have mailed my approval notice.

Call to find out what's up with it, instead of asking people here, get the actual answer right now using the phone number they provided you.

I sent my AOS pack late September so I guess Im an October filler. I have a question, my passport was about to expire in November so I got a new one because I want to go home for christmas , I will have my biometrics this week do you guys think I will have a problem because I started all the process with my old passport. did i make a mistake getting the new one?? hope somebody can give me an advise.

Do you still have your old passport with your Visa and I-94? I think it was a good idea to get your passport renewed. Some people have had problems in the process with a passport that was about to expire.
