I am still waiting for my green card, its been a month, I want to travel back to Canada for xmas, you think I would have any problem coming back to US??

I didn't wait for them to mail me my SSN, 3 days after POE, I went to the SS office and applied for it, and got my SSN in a weeks time...don't wait for them to send it to you...just apply for it yourself!

The interview was a breeze, they never asked me anything-but asked my husband everything-took all the docs...financial evidence...birth..marriage...police...no need for xpress post (i wasted 12 bucks) sign up for DHL

How did you sign up on the website, I clicked on that the purpose of my travel is...permanenly immigrate to US scheculed by NVC, and then I selected the closest branch, and then it said something weird like...the first available appointment is Jan 2011, so I just logged out, without confirming or submitting anything...what the hell..I am just getting an express post envelope!

yes i did, i got the email yesterday, they have given me exactly 4 weeks to do all this...

I am in US at the moment, so I kinda have to go back within 90 days, they gave me a hard time when I tried to enter here 3 weeks ago, they detained me for 3 hours at the secondary, its just that, I didn't have any ties to Canada-no house or job, hence got a lot of questioning...I don't know what to do...I will stick around here for awhile...until next month and head back...

They say MTL is backed up, I just found out that I didn't make it for the Sept interviews, and I have to wait until Sept to find out if I made it for the Oct interviews...

NVC just told me today, that they are done scheduling for Sept, and we have to wait until Sept to find out if we make it to the Oct interview!

Shewolf is right. They always say the only schedule the 2nd week of the month. If you pay close attention to the statuses on here, people get interview dates all month long. Usually the last week of the month til the end of the 2nd week of the following month is the busiest. The number that we have to call is a call center, all they know is what is in front of them on the computer screen. I have only talked to one person that made any sense at all. He answered every question I had and then so...
