  1. Well,Thursday,Jan. 7th is the interview date,I am more scared about it than the my fiancee is I think, she seems pretty cool headed about it so far.Me?Well, lets say I have no fingernails,my legs hurt from pacing so much, and I am not sleeping but about 3 hours a night, and it's still a few days away.So I know my Wednesday night,I will not be sleeping at all.I guess it will be over soon, and she will be here in a couple weeks.

  2. I feel like I am hi-jacking this thread from Farah,Sorry Farah, that is not my intentions.

She is 28 years old and will be getting her medical in Penang, she lives there,so...Maybe it will be on the lower side of the prices I am getting.Thank you all for the answers and all the info that everyone on here share, without this forum, the visa process would have alot more headaches than what it is.

  3. It should fit in the overhead,or,like you said, you can put it in a tube and carry it that way,I have a few questions for you,how much money did it cost you for your medical, what shots did you need to get, where did you go to get the medical, how long did it take?right now,she is waiting on the conduct letter, then I hope it will not be long after that she gets interview date. And one more time, congrats on the visa, thats really good news.

  4. Mine took allmost 6 1/2 months, during that time, there was no touches.if you call them before the time frame they have listed for that service center, they will only tell you it is not out of the timeframe, then they will tell you everything you may allready know, basically reading from a card.it is everything we all have allready read on the USCIS website, and ask you is there anything you would like for them to repeat. After the time frame has passed, then call, they will get some info from you,put in an order to see what is happening with it.trust me,I went thru it also.after I made my second call to them, the one after the 6 months had passed,I called my congresswoman, after 1 week of hearing nothing from them,I called my state senator,2 days later,my petition was approved. So,basically, what I am saying,is to wait till the 6 months has passed,it will do you no good to call,as they will do nothing for you.But hang in there,it will be ok,After I got the NOA2,it was sent to NVC,then to the consulate within 4 days. Its going so fast now,we cannot seem to keep up with them.

  5. Another up-date

On Oct.1st,I contacted my congresswoman, today,Oct. 7th,they sent me a letter needing more info from me.Monday,Oct.5th,I also contacted my state senator.I am really tired of waiting on this,as you can see from me getting in touch with any and everybody that will help me.Well, today,Oct 7th,I checked the USCIS web site,as I do everyday, and guess what, this is what i saw.

The last processing action taken on your case

    Receipt Number: EACXXXXXXXXX

    Application Type: I129F , PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)

Current Status: Approval notice sent.On October 7, 2009, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E).

Finally,my fiancee and I may be able to get a good nights sleep.

On average, how long does it usually take from this point in the process for her to get interview. She is in Malaysia if that helps anyone that could answer this.

Thanks so much for the folks that helped me and thanks for this site, reading all the post and doing alot of searching on here has helped me tremendously.

  6. Well, for an update.I did call them today, and they told me that it is not out of the 5 month time frame untill Sept 23,and gave me alot of info that was useless and as ScottThuy got,I got the ''is there anything else you would like for me to repeat'',I heard that phrase alot during the conversation. So,If I do not have any change on Sept 23,I will call again and demand something be done as polite as I can.Nothing else I can do,but wait and wait,oh yea,one more thing I can do,thats wait some more. Thanks for the help folks,I will keep you updated on what is happening.

  7. I received the NOA1 dated April 1,2009,as of today, when I visit the USCIS page to check the status,it still shows the case as received and pending.Should I be concerned about this,as i have seen people on here that have sent in their K1 app. after me,and have allready received NOA2?Or am I just kinda jumping the gun here,we have been together for over 3 years now,I have visited her 3 times since we met,and we are really wanting to be together, but, the wait is unbearable.Could someone maybe ease my mind and tell me its ok,or should I be worried at this point because of the time its taking.I filed at the Vermont center if that helps with an answer.

    Thanks,David
