POE was easy as pie. We just sat and waited about an hour for the officer to do the paper work. Everyone there were completely kind. No problems.

Were you able to contact the Consulate to see if they'd give you the visa?

I used the Reference ID listed when you log into your CSC visa account. Then I went to dhl.ca and selected the 'reference' option instead of 'waybill' and was able to find out that my visa was shipped. The way bill number still hasn't been posted on the CSC so it seems like they're VERY behind in updating that.

That's so weird! I picked up my passport from DHL in Waterloo yesterday. Can you try calling the State Dept. or US Consulate in MTL to see if a visa has been issued yet? I wonder what the hold up is!
Incidentally, do you know if you can travel outside the US after crossing the POE and activating your green card - but BEFORE the plastic green card comes in the mail? I have a trip booked in a few weeks and am panicking that by going to the US first and leaving will ba...

Mine is in Waterloo today. Should be in London tomorrow would be my guess. I used my reference ID from the CSC visa information. The waybill number itself was not posted.
I think that you shouldn't have any issues with the vacation. But then again I'm not entirely sure
I've seen it take 2 weeks for some to get their actual green card. I really hope it will be ok for you.
