  1. Said and I went to the AOS interview today and we got one of the nicest ladies. She asked only a few

questions, looked at a bunch of pictures and copies a few, looked at 4 papers showing assets and his

check stubs. Then she said I'am approving your application today. We were like that's it you dont need

anything else, she said nope thats it you'll have your 10year card in a couple of weeks, and that

in 3 yrs from today he will be able to apply for citizenship. Im so happy that this is over. What a

    relief.

my fiance was at the consulate at 6am and was not called till 1050am to the window. The prescreener was overwhelmed with the evidence she kept telling my fiance its too much documents.

The CO was nice, he asked how long my fiance has known me, He had looked into our album and documents and stated he has seen everything and it looked good.

He also asked does he have any family here in the US. Whether they get along with my family? He has about the phone records, he stated he do make alot of calls and he asked my fiance about his phone number and if i had any other relatives in Ghana and he said yes. Because i was born and raised in Ghana. The CO stated we have overwhelming evidence and he is approved...

  3. hi guys! this is for all the Filipinos who got their visas approved and have left the country recently. do i have to go to the CFO seminar that the embassy told me to go to? is that really mandatory? the brochure says that "under DFA dept orders....Filipino spouses and OTHER PARTNERS OF FOREIGN NATIONALS are required to attend..." they said that this is for the first time travellers. i mean do i really have to go here and spend hundreds of pesos again for this?? do i really need to get that certificate and stamp in my passport?? or its ok if i just disregard this? will the Philippine customs mind this? pls help. thanks!!!

  8. Your fiancé's income alone is sufficient to satisfy at least the minimum for a household size of 4. It would help if you elaborated on your fiancé's living situation. Family of 5 means? (Bothers/sisters, mother and father? or something else?)

**Topic is "US Embassy/Consulate Discussion" related; moving thread there (where it may be more appropriate).

family of 5 means her dad mom 2 sisters. but they all have their own jobs. not her dependent.

  9. It looks good but if you let us know where she is having her interview it might help us give you a for sure answer.

Oops just notice that it's the Philippines. Maybe someone that knows that Embassy will give you a 100% answer. She does make above the guidelines.

yeah, im from the Philippines. some says that the embassy here in Manila does not accept co-sponsorship. i just want to know IF EVER WE DONT MAKE THE POVERTY GUIDELINES what are our other choices? thanks much!

  10. hi guys! just need your help. we are yet to make a schedule for my embassy interview. my fiancee is just waiting for her tax return then she can give me her AOS and everything that comes with it. we are not sure if her income is enough for me to be granted a visa. i think she is way above the poverty guideline for 2 or 3 persons (she lives with her family of 5 but she doesnt have any dependent. all of them are working). she makes around $27000++. will this do? i dont know if we have to get a co-sponsor (her mom) or not. pls help us! any helpful comments will do. i really want to get this worrying thing to stop. thank you all! God bless!
