A Filipino friend of mine recently recommended "Manila Forwarder" (http://www.manilaforwarder.com/) to send packages to the Philippines. I have not used them yet myself, but I intend to do so very soon. I'm led to believe that they do door-to-door delivery (like Fed Ex), but is significantly cheaper and your package will not be by opened/molested/raided by the pirates who run the Philippine post offices (rummaging through parcels to take anything that looks valuable like "Newman" from Seinfeld ) the way it would be if you used regular mail.
