My interview is scheduled for November 9th, but I havent gone for the medical examination yet. We got an email from NVC about the date of interview. I called the doctor's office, and they said that it would be sufficient to bring a print copy of the email to have the medical examination. I guess the rules change from country to country

At last we received an email from the NVC today that my interview has been scheduled at the Dhaka consulate on November 9th 2009. Hurray... NVC complted the case on August 19, so it took them 37 days to schedule the interview. Now I can start preparing for it

We were in more or less the same situation as you are...my wife is working part time and doing her masters at the same time in USA. Her income was not sufficient to support me at the time of applying. So our lawyer suggested that we show her parents as cosponsors and we obliged. I am not a legal expert, but i suggest that you file a cosponsor for the case, provided that the procedure does not get delayed by the additional paperwork -- simply because your tax return does not show your current income and this technicality gives the embassy grounds to reject/delay your file. Dont take a chance on this thing, i'd say.

My wife, an USC, applied for my immigration through 1-130. NVC completed our case on August 19, 2009. However, their operator told my wife that once the visa interview is scheduled, they will email her and her lawyer. Our interview will be held at the US Consulate at Bangladesh. Now it has been three weeks since NVC completed our case, but we have heard nothing from them about the interview date. Should we call the NVC now to ask about the interview date? Is it ok to call them (and bother them) or should we wait longer? Please guys your feedback will be helpful. Thanks and good luck on your visa journeys.
What can your prayers do?
in IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures

What can your prayers do? I am a pragmatic person by nature. I always believed that when someone deserves something, s/he will get it no matter how many people pray for him/her. I think I deserve to pass my IR1 interview tomorrow (9th Oct). I prepared well, I am in a serious married relationship with my spouse. But what I hear nowadays, every guy aged 18-65 facing the interview at the Bangladesh embassy is getting AP. So I am in a sorry state of mind right now. I have waited three long years to get together with my wife, and I cant take it no more. And when all hope is lost, people turn to their Creator. And I hope my Creator will bless me. And I ask all of you, whoever you are, reading this post, to pray for me, for us. I know prayers alone can't do anything, but I need them more than ever now. Please, wish me the very best. Take care and bye
