  1. I'm not in CA but if you don't have any records of your vaccinations then you just need to have them all over again. My husband did not have any of his records either. I think we paid almost 400 dollars for the whole thing. he had to get TB, Tetnus, Mumps, Chickenpox and a couple other ones I think.

The medical costs will vary at each facility. I could have paid a lot less but we chose a place that did everything in house. All the bloodwork and everything and they did immigration stuff a lot. So, was willing to pay a little more to have everything done correctly...they were also able to turn it around in like 2-3 days because they did everything in house.

I just pulled a list of civil surgeons off the USCIS website and started calling a bunch of places.

Thank you very much! this is a big help... at least I will have a budget in mind for my medical exam.

I also checked the USCIS website for list of doctors and I am hoping the one that I got near our place

won't be charging too much. On his website he said $215 for the whole INS examination and additional

fee if I don't have any of the vaccination records.

    Thank u very much! =)

  2. Hi there!

I just want to know or get an idea on how much medical check up cost here in California, mainly here in Marin county, Sonoma or Napa.

And do I need past vaccination records to be filed with my I-693?

Thank you! i will be waiting for your insights. =)

if you go to the doctor dont forget to bring your vaccination copy, tell them that they need to transfer it in to I-693 bec you need it for the adjustment of status, I remember they gave me Tetanus vaccine and they charged me $40

    hope it helps

    arch &cel

    Thank you!

But what if I don't have any records of my vaccination?

do I have to get them again?

any idea how much medical examination cost?

    Thanks! =)

  3. Hi everyone! I am currently on F1 visa and got married last Aug to a USC. We are filing our AOS paper right now.

My question is on Part 2 of I-485; what would I choose?

Is it letter "a" or "h" and then I can just write that "I entered as F1 and now married to a USC".

I tried calling USCIS, but I didn't here any guidelines about this.

By the way I am still maintaining my F1 status.

Please, I need your opinion about this... thank you!

  4. Hi there!

Can you let me know why you choose "a"? So, atleast I would know if it would be applicable for me too.

    Thanks! =)

Hi kitikichat, it is not about my case fitting into yours. As I said, there are options because there are different cases. You are the only one to decide which option fits in your case. Not if mine is applicable to yours.

I am married to an USC and I was a F1 when I got married. I didn't get into US with a K1/K2 etc.

Read the section of the instructions that says "Evidence of eligibility". If you don't know what exactly is your case, you can call USCIS and talk to an officer who can help you better understand your options.

The instruction says: Questions Regarding Form I-485

For additional information about Form I-485, including howto file your application or filing locations not mentioned, callthe USCIS National Customer Service Center at1-800-375-5283

    THank you very much!

We kinda have the same situation. I am in F1 visa too and got married to a USC. I didn't get into US w/ K1/K2 visa.

That's why I am applying the papers from here in the US.

    I will call USCIS too.

    Thank you very much! =)

  5. By the way, I have another questions: I am filing my I-485 and on Part 2 of the form, which one should I check? is it a

or h? since I am currently in my F1 status and I just got married last month to a US citizen. And I am following the step by step guide on how to file an i-130 for spouse inside the US. Thank you!

In MY case it was " a ", but it varies by person. You should read all options and make sure you pick the one that corresponds to your case.

    Hi there!

Can you let me know why you choose "a"?

So, atleast I would know if it would be applicable for me too.

    Thanks! =)

  6. Hi there!

I am currently applying for my I-130. I am currently on F1 visa and in line 14 of the form it is asking me for the Date authorized stay expired, or will expire as shown on Form I-94 or I-95: but the problem is, I can't understand the writing on my I-94. The way I read it it says D 17; does this mean anything on an F1 visa arrival/departure record?

Thank you for your help! =)
