  1. Okay, like seriously, please check on the OPs signature. I think shes still on the process of getting her GC! how the heck will the "faudulent guy" be able to have her sponsor him for a GC when shes not a USC herself!!!!!!!!!!!!! I mean seriously!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Didn't anyone realize her signature before??????????????

Her post is full of BS!!!!!!!!

I mean if you're mature enough I don't think you'd still be asking peoples opinions on whether you should report someone who is living illegally in the USA without proper documentation because there are certain rules to be followed and it would be unfair for us who got proper documentation/papers legally and have to go through the process all the way.

TO THE OP: PLEASE ACT ACCORDINGLY!

    Well I'm just saying......

What I meant was she just got her GC recently and shes saying that the guy wanted her to sponsor him for a GC??? How??? Isnt she still married to the USC that sponsored her for a GC????

  3. The Interview (if one) and biometrics will take place at the local USCIS office (or ASC for biometrics) where you guys live - that is, where you've told USCIS you live.

Without making judgments - I fail to come up with a valid reason why you guys would not list the actual address where you live (but that is your deal). At any rate - they'll schedule things for the local offices on your forms.

(Biometrics appointments seem to be being scheduled within about a month or so of submitting the I-485.)

Thank you for your quick reply.

The valid reason is that we live in hotels, every week a different one, because my husband is a performer and the show travels every week, city to city, state to state or even country to country.

So imagine if we had to give our current address ;) ( I explained this at my POE and they said: just give a family member's address)

I heard that come cases don't get an interview. How are those selected? Randomly?

Thanks again and good luck to all of you :)

Once you get transferred to CSC (most K1s do) then expect no interview and just wait for your approval via mail.

    Good luck!

Thank you for your fast reply. I appreciate how helpful everyone is on this site!

I have one more question, if we do get an interview, then say we are in another country at that time, can we ask for them to postpone it ? Same with the biometrics appt?

    THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! :)

You can re schedule your interview but I suggest you do not coz worst case scenario is it will really delay your application like you'll have to wait for another 3-4 months. So if they schedule you for anything, make sure to make it on time if you wanna get through this ASAP.

But you can always take the risk if you must. :)

    Good luck!

  5. Hi everyone,

    I have a few questions.

My case is a bit special, because my husband's job makes him travel a lot. So the address that is on file for us, is just his family's address, but he doesn't actually live there.Nor do I.

Anyway, long story short, for the biometrics appointment, does it HAVE to happen in the state where we supposedly * reside*? Or could I ask to have my appointment wherever we are at at that particular time? If so, who would I have to contact?

Also, when is that supposed to happen? I have sent the AOS package at the end of August, and so far, the only things they did was cash the check. We didn't receive any mail at his family's address.

Also, for the actual interview, again, does it have to be in the state where we * reside* or can we ask to have it elsewhere? ( in the US of course)

And when is the interview happening? Do we have a way to find that out?

This is very important for us, since we are flying all the time and need to know well ahead of time what is happening next and where we're supposed to go...

I appreciate any kind of help on this!

    Thanks a LOT!

Everything will happen in the nearest DO of the address you provided to USCIS. And changing of address everytime you travel/move means delay in your application process and there is a big chance of it getting messed up, also you cannot find out when your interview is as of the moment unless USCIS sends you an interview letter which normally comes after your biometrics appointment if and only if there are no RFEs coz once again that would also delay your application. So since AOS application was just recently submitted, all you can do for now is wait for the NOAs to be mailed in your family's address and take it from there.

    Good luck!

  6. A simple delay would be good news.

Yeah but unlike before when the GCs were being delayed bec they had to fix/re new their machine, it was posted in the USCIS website but when I checked why was this happening there was no news or notification from their site about it. Oh well, I guess we'd have to be patient a lil more and hope for the best :star:

Please update me when your GCs arrive and I will do the same...

Have a good weekend everyone :)

    Will do.

Hi there, It turns out that my GC was already delivered to my GA address maybe days after I left for NY since my husband just got back to our house in GA and confirmed it with our spam mails coz we had our 1st class mails forwarded here in NY after my approval. My husband will now mail me my GC :) yay!!! :wow:

I hope you get yours soon. :star:

Nothing yet - glad to hear your GC arrived though.

    Hi there,

    Just an update.

Just got my GC in the mail today from my former address.

    Good luck!

Well - I got to the root of the problem today. USCIS phone rep told me that in fact, no one had ever ordered production of Vika's GC after all. The request is in.

Oh my... No wonder it never came in the mail... hhhmmmm..

Well at least now you got it running :)

We hope so, but I have yet to see an email or anything confirming production. The celebration will have to wait until we see proof this time

I see. just check the online status from time to time coz the email might be late or somethin.

I did not receive the email on my approval day but the day after that.

    Good luck!

  8. Hey everyone,

I just filed for I485. I 130, 1 765 on may 19th and have an interview scheduled on september 17th...got the ead a month ago on august 14th...

anyways i was getting all the docs ready...rental lease, joint bank account, joint phone bill, electric bill, life insurance, joint car title and joint automobile insurance....i was looking over the intial forms and realized our ####### head lawyer forgot to list my wife (USC)'s son from a prior relationship....

I have no idea what to do ...will USCIS deny my application because of this mistake...how can I rectify it...my lawyer helped with all the paperwork but I realized this mistake just a day ago and cant get in touch with him?...

    all input is appreciated

Wow! your lawyer is such an a**!!! Anyways, I dont think USCIS will deny your app but you will have to come clean regarding this coz the IO might ask about it, just like my friend's interview where her husband had a child from prior marriage but they mentioned it in the application so everything went fine. So if I were you, tell them the truth and never lie coz USCIS pretty much knows everything.

    Don't stress it.

    Goodluck!

  12. The title says it all. We went for the AOS interview a little over three weeks ago, and were told that the GC would probobly arrive before the approval notice. On Friday we went back for an infopass appointment and were told that the GC was ordered produced on 8-25. Today Vika received the manual - but still no green card. What gives??

    Hi there,

I am in the same situation, My interview was on 8/17/09 (approved) and got an email From CRIS on the 18th stating card production ordered and another email again on the 20th card production ordered again :help: I did get my welcome letter and I130 approval letter but up to now no GC still... CRIS emailed me again on the 24th that approval letter was sent.. now I'm really confused...
