  1. Ok, thanks. Seeing the great storm of indignation I have formed my own opinion about the case. It was just a calm question for what I have got some agressive "attacks". Some felt pity toward me, others became angry and started to talk about generalisation even it was not a subject of generalisation just an experience: I havebeen told this but heard from others as well (like the "who pays the first airplane ticket question".

    Anyway, thanks for the answers.

  2. Gotcha. Thanks for the clarity. :star:

So, if I'm reading right, it's okay that he lied to you b/c he wanted a better life and lying about that was a way to ensure that better life? I think that's a pretty low standard, but that's just me.

Never be so sure about your right.... and never state other's behaviour a low state until you do not know what is behind. I am pretty sure that in most of the cases there are hidden motivations just most of the concerned do not want to admit or do not know about that.

  3. Lol do I seem nervous in any way? If so please do excuse me... for surely I am not nervous about anything. Also please do forgive my ignorance because surely I did see where you posted that this DID happen to you.Overall I just wanted to say this did not happen to me and I do sympathize with those it did happen too. But really if this was such a common thing as the OP said, wouldn't I have heard more about this.

    it is ok :)

  4. Everybody can commit an error, I will not judge anybody especially whom I love if he makes an error especially when he tells me the truth later. Do you know how these young guys live in their countries, how are they dreaming of a better life? And how they sometimes do some "tricks" to be able to get off from that ambient? These strange awful stories are of the "innocent" ones. After moving to a foreign country starts the awakening. I think that not all who pretend a happy relation especially during the waiting period can judge the real feelings. That reveals after starting the real common life.

  5. Do you know what???? I AM SO SO SO SICK OF PEOPLE TALKING, THINKING AND BEHAVING POORLY TOWARdS MEN OF ARABIC DESCENT!!! Really it is just disgusting and of poor taste.

I have never in my life knew a more descent and loving kind and understanding man in all my life than my husband Ahmed, really I find myself in awe of him and his culture, beliefs and traditions.

So maybe you need to start checking for facts rather than stories made up by some ignorant person with nothing else better to do. :bonk::bonk::bonk:

Why are you so nervous? Be happy to have a such nice man beside you. In our relation this was a forgiven "slip" at the end. Just since I heard this not happening with me only I wanted to know some other experiences as well.

  6. I have heard myself and when our relation turned to serious he apologised and told me the truth. I did not want to grab all yours attention just wanted to know what is behind this phenomenon. He never told me why he told me this at the beginning of our relationship but I think that I know why.

  7. I have found out talking with fellows that almost every arab guy who has interest to marry foreign woman had a fiancée or close girlfriend who died under tragical circumstances usually before the wedding. It seems that this is a "nationwide game". I wonder who many of your men came out with such story.

  8. This song is ancient. The melody is Turkish/Ottoman. The Lyrics is in standard Arabic (some of it is too ancient that you need a dictionary to understand). The singer is Syrian from an Armenian origin, her name is Lena Chamammyan. There are SO MANY versions of this song, most of them are in Arabic and Turkish and Armenian.

    Or in Spanish: Radio Tarifa.

  9. Imho is not wise to live our complete private life here where you can get unsolicited comments (and as we can see some of them agressiveley received based on different personalities and maturity level forcing some to leave the forum), moreover if your partner is also reading this forum so that may cause unnecessary hurts. And you never know when he/she will find you here. But if you focus on your mission it can be very helpful to be here. To let the steam going out is better to arrange privately, and not exposed to the wide public. Question of intelligence. Uff. I said.

  10. I'm sorry to hear that, I hope he feels better.

Can I suggest maybe, like infants and toddlers, when they get their immunizations, they also may get a little sick and feverish....after all, the immunization is a small dose of the actual infection, is it not?

I do not think that this is something related to the medical examination maybe some other virus or so. My husband is also sick these days and since he does not want to break his fasting he is getting worse every day.

  11. Good Thursday morning to all Mena. I'm looking at airline ticket to visit Ahmed in late December. So far, the best deal I can find is on www.globester.com for $687 on Turkish airlines. Does anyone have any other suggestions on websites I should check out?

    Holly Kay

Ps. the trip is from December 29 to Jan 5 and I ll be flying out of Chicago.

It can be such low but I would not suggest Turkish Airlines.
