  1. quick question, because i have had summer jobs in america plus temp jobs in england (around 3 months or so). i have filed up the five spaces on the form and have only got as far back as june 2007, how can i show employment for last 5 years (up untill 2004 etc) do i have to submit an extra sheet?

if there is a gap in jobs E.G finsh one job March 2007 - start new job June 2007 do i have to record that 2 month gap as unemployed??

with all the jobs and small gaps not working between i may need 10 rows to complete the 5 years!!

    help anyone???

  2. hello everybody

I am just about to mail all my evidence to My fiancee in new york who is just about to mail the petition this weekend and i just got a couple of questions.

    1) G-325A forms do we send one each or four each? (ive checked i have the up to date version so im thinking one but kinda want to print four just incase)

    2) Exactly how many passport pictures do i need?

    3) Are you able to have all the evidence we submit sent back? (birth cirtificates etc) becuase i dont want to get approved and have nothing for the interviews months down the line!!!

4)We still plan to visit each other once we submit the forms, im preparing letters from work plus where i live etc proving im living/working in england while its being processed, did anyone have any trouble at JFK airport (where i always fly in to) or any american point of entry?

this application has taken over my life....... any advice welcome!!!

  3. I'm sure if you have your ducks in a row and show the evidence that your not going to stay in the USA i think you should be fine. Very common question but if your smart about it, i think you'll be fine, not all of us can afford to do this so feel very lucky that you have this opportunity. Good luck..keep posting and reading....and listen to the elder members, they really know what they're talking about!

Oh i feel very lucky,I work very hard so and spend little on myself so all available money goes travelling and all the the fees we are about to inccur. It is slightly disheartening to get engaged after 3 years together only to find out it could be another year before we start our life together!

hey ho, i just pray for a smooth application, because ive had 3 Working visas in america plus i already have social security number and valid new york state driving liscence etc that will help my case. theres only one way to find out.....

  4. This gets asked pretty frequently - lots of rumors out there (most are not exactly true).

Check HERE for the detailed answer.

thankyou so much for the link.

I have had 3 j-1 visas completed where i have returned to England on time. i have probably made 13 total return trips to new york without once overstaying or getting in to trouble with the US authorities. Does border control see my travel movements on there screen? with many completed journey's plus eveidence of ties to England, will that help my case?

i dont know what i would do if i was refused entry and my girlfriend was in the next room at arrivals waiting for me!!

  5. My American Fiancee is going to mail off our petition this weekend. This whole year we have been flying to see each other every 5 weeks or so (myself to new york, my fiancee to london) Ive heard alot of conflicting reports wether we can remain to do so while the petition is processed. The US embassy in london says it is ok as long as i have plenty of evidence i will return at the end of my trip (signed letters from my place of work, financial ties etc) but ive heard plenty of rumors they will not let you see each other untill i receive my K-1 visa to enter the country which could take a year.

    Advice please??

Im due to fly out to new york in 3 weeks, shall we file after my trip or file now and compile evidence proving my return?

  6. I am a UK May filer too and I filed just a couple of days after you guys. My case has not yet been approved and the california service centre has sent me a RFE. I was surprised to receive this as our file was pretty tight. So I am wondering now if they trying to slow down the process at all levels for UK applicants...

Hello everyone i am a newbie here. i am an english and my fiancee is american.WE met in 2005 while i was working in america, i since worked in america 2006, then i got a 18month visa and worked in the states from june 2007 - December 2008. Since then we have been lucky enough to see each other every 5 weeks or so. ( i live with parents in london and save 85% of my wages) we got engaged on our 3 year annervesary while she was in london 2 weeks ago. Weve started to look at all of this paperwork and it seems very overwhelming.

We have evidence of being together like everyone else (phone bills, emails, pics together over 3 years, flights, bank statements, ring reciepts, all my visas paperwork over the years etc) But i also have a socail security number, american bank account and new york state driving liscence from when i lived there, do you think that would help the application at all? or will it have no effect on lenght of time??

My girlfriend is meeting with an immigration lawyer this week in newyork who says there are several ways to enter the country, i have a feeling some will be a little less above board than others!!

My main question is if we mail the petition off this weekend as planned, can we still visit each other in our respective countries?? the US embassy in london says yes as long as i have overwhelming evidence i am returning to england. But i heard many stories of people not being allowed to see each for over a year, ive even heard a lawyer say that! im verrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrryyyyy confused

Any information would be helpful!! im sorry if this is not the correct place to say all of this, im new to this.
