  1. Woohooo!!! Congrats!! Another May filer.

You should receive your card before 23rd. I received mine in 7days. You'll surely receive it. You can call USCIS to confirm. I called to ask about my GC on the day it was approved. I asked if it could be expedited, lo and behold it was approved. Just give it a trial.

My Greencard came in the mail today! Now we can look forward to our trip without worrying!

    Thanks everyone!!

  2. Hi Everyone!

First of all congrats to all of you who got their Greencard!

I just received the email that card production is ordered. Wohoo!

    We are so happy!

I just have a question though:

We are leaving on the 23rd to visit my family and friends + having our church wedding in Germany.

I have my Advance Parole. But a few weeks ago I read in this thread, that the AP was taken away from someone at the interview and as far as I remember someone said, that after the Greencard is approved the AP is not valid anymore.

Is that true? What if I don't have the Greencard by the time we're leaving, can I still use my AP?

Sorry, if someone has written this before, but I haven't been able to read the thread lately since my laptop is broken.

I would appreciate it so much! I am happy but worried at the same time right now!

Another question: How long did it take for you to receive the Greencard after you got the Email?

Did it take the full 30 days mentioned in the Email?

    Thank you guys so much!

  3. Congrats to all of you who got their AP, EAD or Greencard.

We filed all of our documents on May 12th. Our case got transferred on June 11th.

We had touches on the 09th & 11th on our I-485, but nothing since then. Last touch on AP was 05/24 and EAD 06/21.

I kinda lost track, what has been the latest filing date that got approved? Anyone close to our filing date?

Sorry, I'm just soooooo impatient. I finally want to be able to work and stop worrying/waiting.

Haha, I check our case status 20 times a day....

  4. DMV staff are stupid, that's the one thing all 50 states have in common. The one common thread that unites us all as Americans.

They also wrote my first name, last name and my birth date wrong!! Haha, I've been there quite a while this morning.

  5. If you have a Japanese, German or French drivers license you do NOT have to take all exams for your Ohio drivers license. Don't let them tell you something else!

We called weeks ago at our local BMV office and they told us that I have to take ALL exams. I was so sure, I didn't have to, but I couldn't find opposite evidence on the internet, so I started studying. So this morning I finally went there. I have been super nervous and what does the examining lady tell me? I just had to do the vision exam und the other exams are waived since I have a german drivers license.

So I have my license *yay*

I'm just posting this, so if someone is in the same position than I was, they will be able to find this topic with the search tool.

  6. My wife sent her AOS package two weeks ago. We are suprised this morning because we received the entire package back! They attached a letter (form I-797C) that says: Incorrect fee and wrong jurisdiction.

We send the package on this address: USCIS Attn: AOS 2501 S State Hwy. 121 Business Suite 400 Lewisville, TX 75067. We have a cashier's check worth $1,010. We send the package via private courier. The package includes the following application: AOS, EAD, AP/Travel docs.

    Questions:

    Did we file it incorrectly?

What do we need to do now?

Do we need to call USCIS?

Do we need to re do all the forms because they marked/wrote something in there that says: NLC

    Any good suggestion please share...

    thank you!

All AOS-Packages need to be sent to the Chicago Lockbox. The fee should be correct.

  7. On the consulates website in Frankfurt it says:

"You should schedule your medical appointment no later than six weeks before your intended date of departure to the United States, and no earlier than six months before your departure date. "

    Is that really true?

Because I got my appointment date for the interview today with an appointment for the medical *yay*

But it's on March 1st and I intend to travel on April 6th since my fiancé's birthday is on April 8th and it's very important for me to be there for his birthday.

Well, it's only 5 not 6 weeks after the medical.

Will they make a deal out of it? I wrote to the consulate in my DS-156 that I intend to travel on April 6th.

I have an appointment for a medical in Dortmund in Tuesday, but I wanted to cancel that because my medical in Frankfurt is before my interview and in Dortmund they already told me that they are not going to give me a copy of the Vaccination Sheet.

But if the 6 week rule really is important, I have to go next week.

    I'm glad for every help!!!!

    Thanx

  8. Hi Everybody!

    We got touched today *yay*

    Hopefully everything goes quick now.

    Here's my question:

I read that I have to do my medical no later than 6 weeks before my departure.

So I thought about going to the panel physician in Dortmund instead of waiting for the interview in Frankfurt, since I wanna be with my fiancé as soon as possible.

Can I already make an appointment or should I wait for the next packs?

    Thanx!

  9. Sorry for all my questions, just wanna make sure everything is correct.

    1) My fiance just ordered another Birth Certificate to sent to me, since the only one he had before was from 1988 and he didn't want to sent the only one he had.

Now my question is: Will the embassy bother that the certificate I will take there is different from the one we copied for the petition?

    2) My German Birth Certificate and my International one are from February. Should I get newer ones?

    Thanks!

  10. Hi, Ines.

No, I mean Tax Transcript is all you need. :)

To get tax transcript, have your fiance call the IRS and request for it. They will only ask for his information and address where to send it to, and it's completely free.

Not the 4506 T form because it's only a request form. 4506T is not the actual tax return. :) And you don't need this to get tax transcript. I believe 4506T is for third party.

Sorry if I have confused you.

:) I think I wrote it wrong, I meant the 4506-T as the request form, too.

My fiance just mailed me, that he's gonna call IRS right away to request the transcripts.

    Again, thank you so much!

  11. Hi, Ines.

I believe what you want is the Tax Transcript.

I think the 4506T form is only a request form to request the tax return/transcript.

Tax Transcript should not cost you a penny.

I got my 3 years Tax Transcript from IRS by calling them.

As for W2, I don't think it's required when you have Tax Transcript form.

    Hope this helps :)

So, the 4506 -T is all we need? Thank so much!!!

I got so confused what they exactly want.

Great that it's for free :)

  12. Sorry, but I'm confused, hope someone can help me.

My fiance and me are trying to get all documents together before we get NOA2, so the process does not get delayed.

We now have problems with the tax returns.

My fiance thinks he does not have all documents of the last 3 years.

So we want to request them from IRS.

Now we are confused which form we have to use.

My books says the Form 4506, but that costs $ 57. Correct?

Is the 4506-T enough? That one is for free, right?

Is it better to order them via phone?

    What about the W-2 slips?

Do those come with the Form? My books talks about them.

    Thanks!!
