1. She said she got her Visa package today but it says on the package that she can't open it. It says that she has to go to the manila embassy with the package. I want to buy her ticket today so she can travel here on the 13th but I'm afraid that maybe after they open the package..the embassy required something that will delayed her flight. Is it ok for me to buy her ticket now or does she have to go through something else when she gets to the embassy? What other requirements are there? Is there anyone who has been to the embassy with the package like this before? What happens next aside from the guidance couseling?

  2. And to answer the OP's question...Why did I marry MY white guy?

1st, I want to improve my clan's genes and I know for a fact that a combination of white and brown produces beautiful babies.

2nd, I didn't only find a white guy in my man BUT a soulmate, bestfriend and all.

3rd, we're on the same intellectual level, thus communication is never a problem between us.

4th, we're partners in crime. We can do silly, crazy things but it's always a mutual decision. There's no leader between the 2 of us, just partners. We find joy caring, loving and serving each other. And when I say each other, I mean it. It's not only one way...

Marrying a white guy isn't going to automatically grant you beautiful children. Ugly Brown + Ugly White does not equal beautiful babies. Skin color should not even matter. If you want beautiful children you or your husband/wife will have to be beautiful as well regardless of skin color. I find you first answer very demeaning to filipinos.

  3. We received our NOA2 on the 8th of Oct and we still have not received anything from the NVC yet. I thought it was suppose to be in and out of there in a matter of days. What could be the hold up????

Call NVC, or contact the consulate with jurisdiction over your case.

They said that they sent the application to the embassy 2 weeks ago. I called them and got the new case number. Thanks everyone!

  5. Can anyone tell us what their experience was after they received their NOA2? Like what happens next?

We basically followed the Guides - http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...mp;page=k1guide

We did follow the guidelines. We are asking for personal experiences.

  6. Then send the document. Soon.

It's not that simple as it sounds and communication with them is imperative in order to produce that document. But they are ignoring me.

If I were you, I would call them every 5 seconds, send them emails, send them letters, and even show up at the consolate constantly until they acknowledged me. They'd get the hint.

  7. The embassy does not respond to my inquiries regarding status of the case. Do they break any law or my constitutional rights? I'm a US citizen.

    No they don't.

So it's normal and I can't complain about this to anyone?

You can complain if you wish, but they are not breaking any laws or violating your constitutional rights.

  8. Hi everyone,

I just received an email from the USCIS stating "On September 28, 2009, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)." Can anyone tell me if this is this my NOA2?

I filed the I-129F ~Aug. 23 and my NOA-1 was issued on Aug. 25, so I was a little surprised by this email (seems early). The USCIS website has my case status as "Post Decision Activity" (it was in "Initial Review"). I'm a little worried that maybe I've just been denied or something, but both the website and the email state "approved" and I don't think there's a reason they would deny me. I haven't received anything in the mail yet (just got the email and text message tonight), so maybe it's just a glitch in their new website? I guess I'll cross my fingers for now.

The VSC has recently shifted a large number of its adjudicators to I-129fs to get "caught up"

I pray that I am apart of this "wave"
