  1. I have only lived here for about 16 weeks and now I am 15 weeks pregnant. Hubby doesnt want to live with my mom to file DCF and I dont want to have baby over here. Hubby doesnt have family here and so we are pretty much alone over here and I am extremely homesick. If I did do DCF...could I travel to US for say a month before the 6 months and still qualify for the 6 month rule?

  2. I am getting ready to move back to the states...what do I need to have my husband (UKC) complete before I leave...is it just his G-325a?

I was reading the instructions and was confused...is there anything in this stage that has to be orignals or is it all just photo copies?

Worse case scenerio...can I use a scanned copy and print it out if I forget to get it from my hubby before I leave?

Also...I dont send anything such as photos or proof of relationship this time?

Lastly...if I lived in the UK for less than 1 year...do I put that down with address history...I seen that it said if you lived outside of country for more than a year.

I am nervous and afraid that I am going to do something wrong = (

    Thanks in advance!!!

  3. Thank you all for your feedback! I think we are going to go CR-1 route due to the delay with having to wait for the baby's US passport after the approval via DCF since I wouldn't be eligible to apply DCF route until December and baby is due in March. Plus...hubby doesn't want to live with the mother-in-law...lol!

    Thanks again!!!

  4. It will help a bit with AOS because it goes towards the bonafide marriage part, though it will also make it more difficult as your household size for the affidavit of support will be bigger, this you/ your husband have to make more money.

Sorry to jump in here...I am pregnant and due March 2010. My husband and I are still deciding which way to file...wait 3 more months and do DCF or me move back now to the states and go CR-1 route. If doing the DCF route, my mom was going to sponsor my husband...does this mean she will have to make more than 2 times the amount with having a child (USC/UKC)? If going the CR-1 route, will I have to make 2 times or 3 times the amount? I have worked non-stop for 16 years and have just been unemployed for the 3 months living in the UK, and I could return to my old company or a competitor in the same field. I am just trying to get all of our ducks in a row to see which way will be the best way for us to go.

    Thanks =)

  5. I have been researching and researching and need some guidance from any vjers willing to listen. I am trying to understand the whole greencard/visa process.

    1) What is the difference between CR-1 and K3?

    2) From what I have been able to see from this website...it seems that several people have completed the CR-1 process within 6 months...is this the norm?

    3) I currently have been living in the UK for 3 1/2 months but am a USC and my husband is a UKC...I want to move back to the states instead of staying here and doing the DCF route due to finding out that I am 3 months pregnant...does this have any impact on which process I should/can follow? If need be...I can get a co-sponsor.

    4) Is the process more successful/faster utilizing a lawyer?

Any guidance/responses would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks!

  6. Has anyone heard of inland spousal sponsorhip? I contacted a lawyer for advice to see if it would be faster for my husband and I to apply for his USA visa with me living in the UK (been here for 3months) or if we should go for CR1 or K3. They suggested that if I meet the qualifications (still dont know what they are) that we should apply for inland spousal sponsorship and it will only take 4 months for him to get a visa.

We have been married for 7 months and I am in the UK on a Uk Spousal visa. I am 3 months pregnant (just found out!) and I want to have the baby in the states but dont want my hubby to miss out on this experience since it is our first child.

What is the fastest route? I haven't been able to find this route (inland) on the internet so I am hesitant.

    Thanks!!!
