I wanted to start off a new thread for anyone filing in February.
I am from the United Kingdom and now live in Houston, TX
so if anyone wants to join me, feel free. Its gonna be a long 6 months. Minimum!

If i were you i would keep it safe just in case, (like myself) you are a K1'er and planning on adjusting your status once in the US.
I had a medical for my K1 but was RFE'd (Request For Evidence) for my medical (long story) but becuase i had my x-ray as well as a copy of my DS3025 and current list of injection history i had very little to pay for.

Whoever told you that you need biometrics for AP is WRONG. The only reason for biometrics is the EAD and AOS. That's it. So whoever you've been talking to at USCIS (at the least) is a moron.
If you want your AP expedited, as stated, go here: http://infopass.uscis.gov/ and schedule an infopass appointment. Take any evidence you have for the reason for the expedite.

ok just wondering what you guys plan to do on this topic....so we pass the medical and interview....greattt now we are ready to leave (hey it will happen oneday soon right!)
So ive been looking at the plan prices, if we buy a round ticket from the uk to the usa its about half the price of a one way ticket.
Theres going to be my two children and I, not to mention my other half who will be flying in from the usa to the UK for support during the medical and the interview in the uk....then all four of us want to fly back to the USA together afterwards.
So should we buy the round trip tickets and then not use the return flights?? Either that or we buy one way tickets and pay double the amount.....just wondering what you guys reccomend and how some of you have done it before/ plan on doing it when the day arrisses.

sooooo confusingHi, i came to the US from the UK in December 2009 and have a return flight booked for June 13th 2010 but i will just not use it.
It is perfectly acceptable to do this, just do not complete the check in (On-Line)
I rang BA to see of i could get any money back and they said that because i already used one part of it, i could not get any money back.
It was also cheaper for me to do it this way (and for other people also)
I have seen a few posts describing other ways to buy a cheap one way ticket but i have tried it recently and its actually still cheaper to buy return tickets.
BTW: Continental is having a sale on £367 return flights (with restrictions)

Ok, so here's the deal....
I am concurrently filing for AP, EAD and AOS
I completed a Bio app for i-765 and i-485 (i recieved one letter for both)4/7/2010
I was not aware however that i needed to get them done for AP (i-131)until today.
My case has not been touched since 3/17/2010 but my AOS has been touched many times, the latest was 4/22/2010
My question is should i have recieved a letter or are the USCIS helpdesk people getting confused.
There is no space for AP Bio date on my timeline planner?
so therefore i did not think it odd.
i have been on the phone to the USCIS all morning, and as we speak they are escalating my case to see if they can get my Biometrics taken from my other applications and added to my AP.
Has anyone else had a similar problem or am i just worrying over nothing?
I was planning to leave the country in July to see my family, as i have not seen them since December.
Do you think i can get it expedited (if it drags on too much) as my sister has cancer?
Any ideas/comments?

Just to let people know i recieved my appointment letter on the 2nd October and my appointment is for the 27th October.
My Packet 3 was sent back to the London Embassy on 15th September.

I have a real vested interest in this topic as i was diagnosed with TB at the age of 12 (1987) i am now 34, at NOA2 stage in my K1 visa application but really worried about my medical or getting refused due to my previous history of TB.
I have a letter from my doctor already typed out confirming dates and medication etc. i have 3 letters originally sent to my GP back in the 80's.
Does anyone have any experience of my issues?
I have looked for many months on this and many other Visa sites but no-one seems to have ever had TB just been diagnosed incorrectly after the TST.
My problem is that they cannot give me the TST and if they X-Ray me they will see scaring on my right lung.
Im not saying they dont know what they are looking for but as i have already had it, over 20 years ago are they really qualified enough to know the difference between inactive TB scaring or non acive current TB?

PS i am due to go to London on business on the 17th could i have my medical then just in case of complications as i know my LND no?

Good Luck.. we are still waiting for our packet 3. I am considering phoning the DOS but i phoned them last week and they just said that the embassy had not recieved it yet... What are they doing?
Our NOA2 was recieved via email 08/13/09, apparently the NVC sent it to London on the 24th and it was signed for by London on the 28th...
