  1. I went to the IRS web site to find out how to order my tax transcripts and I was not sure which one I needed.

A tax return transcript shows most line items from the tax return (Form 1040, 1040A or 1040EZ) as it was originally filed, including any accompanying forms and schedules. It does not reflect any changes you, your representative or the IRS made after the return was filed. In many cases, a return transcript will meet the requirements of lending institutions such as those offering mortgages and student loans. You should receive your tax return transcript within 10 working days from the time the IRS receives your request.

A tax account transcript shows any later adjustments either you or the IRS made after the tax return was filed. This transcript shows basic data, including marital status, type of return filed, adjusted gross income and taxable income. The IRS does not charge a fee for transcripts, which are available for the current and past three years. Allow 30 calendar days for delivery of a tax account transcript.

Can someone please let me know or point me in the right direction.

    Thanks

    Nat

  2. Ok so I was reading more. I thought I had my mind made up but I have changed once again. My question is when someone comes to the US with a CR-1 are they able to go to there home country right away? If not how long do they have to wait? I was leaning toward the

K-3 because I thought with that he would be able to go back to his country right away. Please set me straight.

    Thanks in Advance

    Nat

  3. Ok I apologize in advance. Today I had such a bad day and I just want to be held by Deus. I was accepted into grad school today which is great but I could not stop crying. I still have not called Deus to tell him my great news because of the time difference. I was sitting in the bathroom at work crying and I could not figure out why. I have been so caught up with everything else in my life I did not realize that today represents six years since my mother moved on to heaven. This is one of those days that makes me realize how much I want him hear to hold me. I am trying to be strong but the tears will not stop flowing. I know there is nothing you guys can do I just look at you as a part of my extended family now. This is really I hard journey to have to go through alone. :crying:

  4. I loved reading how everyone met.

I met Deus while in Tanzania at a night club. He bought me a drink and we went on our way. Later that night we danced and talked for a while. He told me he sold newspapers on the street and I was ok with that. I think that is when I won his heart. He typed his number in my friends I-Phone but one of the digits got erased. I did not find this out until I tried to call him the next day. That night I had a dream that I would see him in town before I left Tanzania. Three days had passed and nothing. 18 hrs before I was scheduled to leave TZ to go to Kenya I was walking through town and heard someone calling my name. It was Deus. My dream was right. I did leave the next day for Kenya but he met me up there and we spend a few days together before I headed back to the U.S. I am back in the U.S. But I left my heart in TZ with Deus. End of Story for now!!

  5. Thank you so much for all your help!!!!! Have a great weekend. :star:

From this point forward, the costs are appx. as follows:

For CR1 appx. $470 paid to NVC. After marriage is 2 years old, another $455 goes to USCIS to remove conditions.

For K-3, $100+ to Embassy/Consulate. Then you enter the U.S. with the K3 visa and wait until the marriage is two years old (make sure K3 stays valid until then), and then spend $1000 to do an Adjustment of Status. This will result in a 10 year Greencard with no need for removing conditions (saving the $455). So long story short, CR1 appx. cost is $900+. K3 appx. cost is $1100. K3 usually gives 3-4 weeks of overall time advantage in most cases.

Thank you so much. So you are saying it is easier to left conditions than to continue the process after arrival with the K-3?

    Hi natay.

Yes, there will be conditions on the CR1, but at least your SO can hit the ground running upon arriving in the U.S. No need to apply for Adjustment of Status, EAD nor AP, since your SO will be a LPR (green card holder), albeit conditional. If your SO finds a job, then s/he can start working...there would be little to no downtime, depending on what kind of job your SO wants to pursue. Before the CR1 expires, your SO would have to apply for Lifting of Conditions.

You will need the US$ 400 IV fee (for each intending immigrant) when you are at the NVC stage...which is roughly 2 to 4 weeks from the time you receive your NOA2 for the I-130. Plus your SO needs to get all the documents together for NVC processing.

If a couple has been together less than two years is there any benefit to applying for the CR-1 since it is going to come with conditions anyway?
