  1. hey hey everyone, i just found this forum page.. and i just checked mys status online, it said my EAD is already approved... i am still wondering if they will ask for an interview for my i-485. if they are going to interview us, i really wish they send a notice in the mail soon lol. i didn't get any letter / email for request on interview.. my AOS shows that it is still in INITIAL INTERVIEW but as far as experience goes, they don't really update the online thing all the time. oh wells. here comes waiting again...

grats on everyone who received EAD!! :D

  2. hey hey.. gluck to all of us feb filers!! i just got my NOA2 (for schedule of biometrics) in the mail today :D biometrics scheduled on march 9 (thats a week from now!!) im so excited!!

in my packet, i only sent out the vaccine record that was given to me when i was in manila, i didnt do the i-693.. i am not sure if they will ask for my RFE for that, it wont be much of an RFE but it will certainly prolong the waiting. i will let u guys know if they will ask for any.. other than that, life is good ^^

    gluck everyone!! <3

  3. oh wow great to hear that everyone is doing great!! i just got my NOA1 for my AOS, EAD and AP today.. so excited!! i cant wait to get my life started here. my husband works at the oil rig here in alaska and he stays at work for 2 weeks and is home for 2 weeks straight. i am glad i didnt get any RFE (at least not yet, hopefully not ever!) but yeah, things are looking good from here.

i hope everyone is well... do we have another post for aos filers? id be glad to help out!! ;) good luck everyone

  4. ok... grats to everyone who already have NOA2 and to those who made it here in the US... and ooh, happy new year to all.. sorry if i havent been online here for a long while.. i have been busy taking care of paperworks and adjusting with my life here in Alaska..

i met someone from VJ who also lives in anchorage, we went out couple of weeks ago to see a movie and shop! lol.. how is everyone doing.. anyone here ready to set up AOS? is it ok if i file it a week later than the expiry date on the I-94? thanks thanks thanks, missed u guys!!

  5. Nope - I didn't miss it, Mystic Heart - My post was about rcems543's post, not yours. Your caveat was clear. His/Hers , whilst GREAT for the CR-1, was obviously not about the OP's petition type, impossible to address the question in a usable fashion. Happy Thursday !

rofl.. my message was for the OP lols. he really has to disregard that other post lols XD

happy thursday for u.. its a friday for me :P tgif woot :3

i just got a text from the USEM visa courrier and my visa is on its way to me!! really -- TGIF ! woohoo!! <3

  6. hey hey.. grats on the NOA2! there will be a lot of action upcoming now lol ...

anyway, i had a bit of struggle only on "proof of engagement" as well... as i was not sure how to show that we communicate regularly - we only used skype to call each other, we dont email on a regular basis, we dont do snail mail...so i printed out receipt payments from paypal for our skype credits(she can bring phone bills / phone records of ur communication), my facebook emails with his mom, a few pictures and the receipts and boarding passes that we had.

the proof of on going relationship can also come from ur side. if u have any gift you have sent her, you may send her the receipts when you bought them.

and also, during my interview, i was asked if he ever sends me money and i only said "just a few times in the past" and then i was asked if i have receipts but i didnt bring them with me. i was advised before that its not a good "frontline" evidence as they might get the impression that money is involved in the relationship. thats about all of the things i brought with me. as long as u are properly documented, then u shoudl be fine. and if neither of u had a previous marriage, then the interview will be a breeze :)

oh and btw, when we got our NOA2, this page was very helpful for me:

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...amp;page=k1flow check it out if u havent! ;)

here are the stuff i had to gather before my interview:

    - PROOF OF PAYMENT (visa application - for Phils, it was $131, not sure with urs)

    - evidence of having met within the past 2 years (pictures, his / your boarding pass to visit, receipts while together, etc)

    - evidence of engagement (receipts of gifts you bought for each other, emails, snail mails, phone records, photographs

    - VISA PHOTOGRAPHS

    - medical examination @ accredited hospital in your area (here in the phils, we have to take it at least a week before the interview, that way, if anything goes wrong, there is ample time to make ammendments and the medical exam will be ready for the interview do a lil research, idk about ur place lol XD)

  7. Hi everyone, what's up? to those of you who knew me from a few posts.. I have been away from VJ for a while coz i was preparing for my interview which was done last OCT 22, 2009 and I got approved. Right now I'm waiting for my visa to be delivered.

Here in the Philippines, AIR21 is the accredited courrier service by the USEM Manila. I got a text message from them yesterday which I assumed meant they already have my documents :bonk: my bad.. it only said :

"AIR21 would like to inform you of your tracking no. for MNL200XXXXXXX is 1608XXXXXXXX. To track its status, log on to www.air21.com.ph"

I logged on but their site is down at the moment so i cant track online.. and called instead. (+63 2 8794747). I was told that they still don't have my documents and that i will receive a text message when it is ready to be delivered.

as some of you may know, i most of the time have a case of excessive worrying :dead: i have been reading threads of people here in the phils who got their visa on hand within 5 days, 7 days max, w/c means AIR21 got their documents 3 days from their interview date and was able to deliver it the next day. it's been 7 days since my interview.. i wouldnt be worrying this much if i havent got tickets yet <_< ! my flight is on november 10. i know i know, i have time. but heck, im not done with the CFO yet.

what do you guys recommend for me to do? i am worried if there is anything wrong with my papers or what not. and.. i know i am bound to contact the embassy soon. do any of you know the number to call here in manila?

thanks! sorry im out of sorts at the moment :clock:

  8. chillax.. i wanna share a few things tho..

i posted the message below in another thread but since u are already approved with ur petition, id like to share this with you as well:

at this point.you have ample time to prepare everything while waiting for the next step ;) start gathering ur paperworks, these are the things you will need for the interview @ us embassy. it doesnt hurt to start as early as now to get all these papers ready. :3

    - PROOF OF PAYMENT (visa application - for Phils, it was $131, pay at BDO)

    - PASSPORT. You must have a passport valid for at least six (6) months

    - birth certificate (NSO)

    - certificate of no marriage (if never been married) of benifiaciary

    - PROOF OF TERMINATION OF A PRIOR MARRIAGE of either of you (divorce decree, annulment decree or death certificate, etc.)

    - police clearance of all countries you have lived in since 16 yrs of age

    - COURT AND PRISON RECORDS: Applicants who have been arrested, charged or convicted of a crime must present copies or transcripts of court or prison records relating to the crime or offense

they only asked for the affidavit of support and Income Tax Return during my interview, but it wont hurt for your fiance to have W2 and employment certificate or bank record of the petitioner handy. they might ask for it!

(about the evidence of support and his income tax return, this will be asked from during the interview. right now, prepare your most recent ITR, the AFFIDAVIT OF SUPPORT (HAVE IT NOTARIZED - some say its not needed but better be safe than sorry, you dont want to take chances), FEDEX it to your fiance. PLEASE dont use USPS. i had horror stories about it lol)

good luck and i hope this saves you a lot of time for gathering ur paperworks. i was rushed coz i didnt know about all these other things and i had to reschedule my interview coz i knew i wouldnt have the paperworks ready by then.

you are just on NOA1 and you can never tell if they will request for further evidence (RFE) before issuing you with NOA2 but its good to have all your papers ready as early as possible, so you dont have to cram LIKE I DID :dead: lol ! good luck and let us know what's up!! :)

    MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ORIGINALS.

    good luck !! <3

  10. waaaaahhh.. i just called Air 21 and was informed that my visa isn't released yet. im starting to get worried. when i got my text from air 21 the other day, i assumed that it was confirming that they already have my visa >< my bad all it contained was the information of my case no. and tracking no....my interview was oct 22.. its already been 7 days since.. idk how long it will take for them to release my visa or if i have any problems with it... >< i still haven't attended the CFO seminar. im starting to get worried. my house is practically 30 mins away from the US Embassy here in Manila!!

  11. Wish me luck folks -- I got my Interview date yesterday set for the Vancouver consulate on Thursday, November 19th! I'm so excited/nervous/anxious! The day before that is my medical sooooo I hope everything works out! Eeps!

Good luck to all you other May filers! :) xoxoxo

hmm.. i am not sure if they are the ones who give you the medical exam schedule in your region.. but i know for a fact that here in the Philippines, you SHOULD have to have your medical exam at least A WEEK BEFORE your interview. let me know if it's the same for you. because they need time to send the medical exam results to the embassy .. and they ask this from us so that should anything go wrong during the medical exam, you still have time to set things right before your interview date.

    good luck.

  12. @ken love: gratz to the approval! (and to everyone else)

i had a bit of struggle only on "proof of engagement" as i was not sure how to show that we communicate regularly - we only used skype to call each other, we dont email on a regular basis, we dont do snail mail...so i printed out receipt payments from paypal for our skype credits, my facebook emails with his mom, a few pictures, receipts and his boaring passes for his first and second visit..

after looking at my documents, the CO asked me some basic info, jasons bday, my bday, jason's job.. then the convo rolled to...

CO: so how did you and jason meet?

Me: we met on myspace, then we started chatting and we found out we play this online RPG game, Ragnarok and we started playing / talking almost everyday.

CO: what game was it again?

Me: ragnarok.. its an online multi-player role playing game...

CO: so what do you do in the game?

Me: oh you create your character then you level up your character till you reach 99.

CO: how do you do that?

Me: (i was confused) uh, how do you level up?

CO: yeah, do you just sit in the game? (smirks)

Me: oh no.. you get gears and kill monsters and you also play with a guild. (i was trying my best not to laugh at this point lol)

CO: oh ok. (*pauses to look at my evidence of relationship) - so how do you guys communicate?

Me: we call and chat on skype. he can also get online too.

CO: i see your skype bills.. i thought skype is free?

Me: well, you can get credits with ur CC /paypal so you can make international fone calls on a cheap rate..

CO: oh ok. (*looked at some more papers then handed me back my "evidences) so what's your plans when you get in the states?

Me: well, he is going to pick me up from here in the phils and we will travel home together,he works 2 weeks straight in the slopes then he has 2 weeks off. so when we get there, he will be going to work then we will get married on his next hitch home :)

CO: (*looks at papers, pauses..looked at 6 out of 15 pictures i presented) which state does he live?

    Me:Alaska.

CO: you'll be there during winter. cold. good luck!

then said "congratulations, your visa is approved" then handed me my pink slip :D

    woot ~~

DISCLAIMER: i posted a shortened version of the interview on another thread, this is the whole story LOLs :P
