No kids for 2 months - I guess this is our honeymoon.
Now maybe I will get to see AK! Thank God for grandparents! -

has had a very busy 10 days or so at home and is loving every minute of it.

POE this morning at Winnipeg airport. No problem - was told the $6 fee was only at "land crossings." They don't seem to do many of them there but were certainly pleasant and took their time to make sure they did everything correctly. Maybe the fact that it was Thanksgiving and it was 9:30am and there were hardly any people going through customs at that time helped a little.

Got my visa in hand Monday and my ticket an hour later! I am going "home" on Thursday!

Trying to plan the wedding now and get everything booked within the next 2-3 days. Already thinking about the next step, AOS... that's a pricey one!

Vancouver received my last paper Tuesday but has yet to mail my passport/visa.... tick, tick, tick... I am hoping to POE in less than a week! (No... I have NOT yet bought any tickets as I can't afford the chance I might not make the flight.)

Was missing one original but it should be in Vancouver on Monday which means I should have my visa in hand by Thursday or Friday. I am hoping to POE Nov 23 or 24.

OMG ... I am so nervous! Yes.. I know it is silly but here is what's running through my head: will the one page translation of my Col. Police Cert be enough (the other page is my "application for the check?" I do not have his 2009 income tax statement but I do have all the employment, assests, life insurance, death benefits (from late wife) and W2 (basically everything that would show on the neat one page inncome tax statement) - BUT, since he took a leave of abs from his job ...

Just trying to breathe! Get to Vancouver Monday morning, interview Tuesday @ 1pm and medical the next morning. I am staying at the Days Inn just for Tuesday night. I think I'm ready... just a few more things to copy. Will get to a scotia bank on Monday.

Congrats! Hey, any tips? My interview is coming up and I am getting really nervous that we have missed something?
Also, did you fill in the DS-160 or the DS-156? I have received conflicting requests from the consulate and am still waiting on their reply to an email.

Still waiting on a confirmation of my medical apt BEFORE I buy plane tickets to Van. Hope to check that off the list on Monday.

OMG - I faxed Vancouver yesterday at 3pm their time and I recieved an email TODAY at 10:20 THEIR time informing me that I had an interview at 1pm on November 9th! That is a full week earlier than I had dared hope for!!

the Colombian Consulate in TO FINALLY put my papers in the mail today! They sat there for over a month and I am sure the ONLY reason they were mailed today is because Consulate General in Houston inquired on my behalf. (I taught her daughter, in Colombia, 10 years ago!) FINALLY... we can move forward!
