  1. At last!! Congratulations! :dance::dance:

Just make sure you have as much primary evidence as possible, such as joint bank account statements, both names on car/health insurance, utility bills etc. Secondary evidence is photos, letters, cards etc so they may or may not look at these.

We took loadsa photos & cards but the officer didn't even look at them. She told us they were only secondary evidence!

Good luck, I'm sure you'll be just fine.

The problem is , the interviewer told us to bring more of the same kind of evidence to the next meeting in 2 years .

What more can we possibly get ?

    Any ideas ?

  2. Hi All, I am preparing for the interview next week Our rental lease was not signed but had our names on it...any advice?

    Sign it !, stupid .

I am sure that you could put your name on anything to show "joint relationships" or "real marriage " and they do not check on anything .

He barely looked that what I had for evidence , bank accounts and utilities and so on.

I believe he made notes stating what Ihad .

He told me that anyone could make up fake stuff as evidence so I need to bring in more on me next visit in 2 years , not that what he said makes any sense , giving me ideas as to what I can do to create new evidence , get the picture ??

They don't check anything , sooo , it easy to add your name to any utilities or bank statements , insurance or rental agreements .

You could just go to a office supply store and just buy your own rental agreement and write what you want on it , I am not suggesting you do this because this would be wrong and I hate the idea of someone lying their way into MY country , but you could .

  3. Hello,

Yesterday I received my interview appointment letter, for Januray 15th. On the list they give you of stuff to bring to the interview, they say to bring the I-693 if you haven't already submitted it. The thing is that I never sent them that, and they never asked for it with a RFE, I guess because I gave them the medical examination and vaccination info in a closed envelope when I entered the country.

Does anybody know if I need to bring that or not? Any ideas?

If you have already submitted it and you did when you entered , you don't need to bring it , just as the letter states .

    Does this help ?

  4. Approved with only 3 questions asked by the interviewer .

We got to our GC interview 15 minutes early , he came out and looked right at us then invited us back to his office without didn't mentioning our name , he knew from the photos which ones we were .

Asked for proof of who we were and asked me what Larisa's family name was and her father's first name , I knew both names , then asked her our street address which she knew .

Then asked for utilities , ins & bank stuff with both our names on them , no problem , we had plenty .

That was it , we were approved .

He said to apply for a new 5 year GC in 2 years and after we were married for 5 , apply for naturalization .

He also said to bring more proof of relationship on the next visit , like what we had , but more .

GC in 2-4 weeks , can't leave country until then , the AP is no longer valid and we were planning to drive to Mexico today for Larisa's dental work , glad we didn't , she wouldn't

be able to return to Arizona , she would have to go back to Russia and start over with the K-1 visa , that would suck

I think you don't understand what I mean, if your case are transferred to CSC, it is automatically you won't have the interview. That happened a lot for those that you called they don't have interview. But... if your case isn't transferred to CSC, it will be processed at local USCIS then you will receive an interview letter, for interview. I hope this will help you.

Hi Rutherford, I already answered you above. But maybe you didn't see it. Those whose cases are transferred to CSC won't have an interview. So they will receive GC in their mails ^_^

Why is it that some are approved without an interview ??

    Anyone know ?

    Ross

Well , you did not really answer my question , but thanks for trying .

I asked , "why some have no interview "

    Ross

Thank you for trying , lol

Ruther.....How long does it take you to get SSN....

We went to SS office 10 days ago for a SS number , they said there is a new program that says they need Larisa's Russian birth certificate and they'll need to have it translated , they would not accept our translated birth cert..

Sooo , to answer you question , I don't know , I would guess somewhere from 21 days to 3 months

  7. Yesterday - Dec. 1 - I received e-mail saying we had been approved and that card will be produced and should be received within 30 days..

Today I get e-mail saying that they mailed me a notice on Dec. 1 that might have instructions and card will be received within 60 days following registration OR after we complete ADIT processing. Whatever that is.

My wife was planning on returning to see her family at the beginning of January but now I am thinking on holding off on any tickets until after green card is in her hand.

You 2 were approved for a GC with no interview ??

    Is this true ?

    Lucky for ya'll
