I think since you do not support your parents (they are "roommates" so to speak) you do not need to include them in your household size. Maybe others here know better, but that's just my opinion.

As long as you have your documentation that states your husband makes the correct amount of money, you are fine. Fluctuations don't matter as long as you have your tax transcripts and whatever else you sent it to prove your income meets the requirements. It's pretty cut and dry.
Like Markie said, getting an interview is not a bad sign. Make sure you have everything required plus anything that really demonstrates you have a real relationship. I'd say the best things to show are joint financial accounts, photos from special events/vacations, lease/mortage agreements, and birth certificates of any children.
Good luck!

It also depends on the consulate. Some say 6 months, some say 1 year. Email them directly for an answer. Honestly, I wouldn't want to deal with getting a police report from Thailand (or anywhere I'm not living for that matter) unless it was really necessary. Unless you are somehow flagging them that he lived in other places (work history, other visas, etc.) they're not likely to go delving into his past to call you on this. Especially not if this is London. Good luck, just my opinion.

Hi all LOVE this thread, I can totally relate! Wanted to add a "Balkan" issue to the list...pets. I have two cats in the house *gasp* My fiance is totally repulsed by this hahahahaha. I can't wait to see how long before the cats mysteriously "go missing"
Anyway, my fiance is from Prishtina, Kosovo...apparently using the mail is a novelty there, and he gave me the old postal code 38000...so anyway, all of the stuff I sent him for his interview is probably lost in Serbia.../sigh. I want to strangle him, he is lucky he is so hot
Anyway, nice to meet you all, and good luck with your journeys!

Thanks, Beth! I'm sure yours was received as well. I just got a letter yesterday confirming it. Good luck!

Ok, now it gets weirder...I called NVC and they said they did receive it, but it was "in and out so fast" that it didn't get entered into the system. Sounds legit, right?
Anyway, it was forwarded to Skopje already. Yay! Thanks for the replies.

Ok, that was weird...I just talked to a customer service rep at USCIS and they said it doesn't go to NVC, it goes straight to the embassy. That doesn't seem right to me...anyone else have this experience?

If I signed up for automatic updates by email will I get one when it is sent and/or received by NVC or do I have to keep checking the hotline? And should I call USCIS or NVC to speak to a rep?

Hi all, been lurking for a while, but never posted. Thanks to everyone who does post! You made our lives so much easier. We got a NOA 2 from VSC on Sept. 9, but it still hasn't been received by NVC according to the automated number. Is this normal? I guess what I'm asking is how long should I wait before I call to check on it? Thanks!
