This question is specifically for people who applied for the US citizenship after staying outside the states over 6 months (especially those applying according to the 3 year rule). How did your case go? or how is it going? What kind of documentation did you submit? What kind of questions were you asked during the interview?
I was away with my spouse. She is affiliated with a university in the states and went abroad for research. We went together. I have one absence of over 6 months within the past three years and another over 6 months absence over the past 5 years.
I just want to hear from people are or who have been in a sort of similar situation. No details about the rules and requirements please...I am totally aware of all of the rules and requirements.

Can you please tell me what kind of documentation you presented? We do not have a lease/mortgage and we did not have income during that time and I'm wondering if there is other documentation that they accepted?
