  1. He would need to go to London to have the Medical. My husband lived in Birmingham and would take the coach down early in the morning, set the appointment for afternoon, and then get the coach back after the medical. The medical actually is pretty fast to have done. He never stayed the night and national express had very reasonable prices on coach tickets if you book online.

  2. No no. NOT the receipt. It's the petition approval notice, the NOA2, not the NOA1. The one that says they've approved the petition and sending to NVC for processing.

Well the NOA2 is a receipt as well lol. That's what I meant I looked at the NOA2 and it's not on there it just has his name, so I'm going to go with the registration number with an A and a 0 infront of that. I read that on another website as well so it's going to have to do

  3. The registration number on the visa IS the A#. I have the same thing in my visa. When I received my permanent green card, it had the A# on that, which was the same as the registration # in my visa only with a zero at the beginning.

eg. registration number in visa is 12345678 - on permanent green card it's USCIS # 012-345-678 (on the front) and in the the magnetic strip on the back of the permanent green card it states A# 012-345-678.

Ok so we should be safe to use the registration# just stick a 0 infront of it correct?

  4. I asked this in another area but only got one response so hopefully someone can help me. I'm trying to locate Johns A# in his passport. It is not listed on his NOA2 which the one response said it may be there. So does anyone know is it the registration number on the actual visa? There is nothing that actually says A#...only a registration number on the visa and there's a number in red. Any insight would be helpful!

  5. Well John made it and now he's already in contact regarding a job however I was thinking about the I-9 form and where you would mark if you are a perm resident and it asks for an A#....but we don't have the actual green card yet and I can't for the life of me see where the A# is listed in the passport. Does anyone know where we can find his A# so when he's filling out the paperwork for a job he can list the number? Thanks in advance!

  6. my fiance make about 24k where minimum income for us o get visa approved is 125 % of poverty guideline that is almost 28k for family of four( my fiance ,me , and 2kids ) ryt ?

we dont have anybody to sponsor us ryt now , what we can do in this situation every day without each other is pain .

    (1) she is getting child support including child support she makes near 34k and also she has some debts and use medicaid for children she owns house can that considered as asset ?

    (2) one boy is 9 and and other is 6 (both are sweet heart ) so can consulate consider child support ?

    (3) i come to know she using medicaid for kids can be problem so what we can do about medicaid thing ?

    (4) so if she makes income 125% of poverty guideline in coming financial year then medicaid still be problem and what should we do about it ? if she stops using medicaid this year is it ok to start procedure next year ?

She can use the child support as part of her current income but she will have to show court documents where the support is ordered and also show those funds going into the bank account. Basically she has to PROVE she is actually receiving the funds.

  7. We've had 2 interviews in London and neither time have we been asked for additional information. The first interview we brought it just in case but no request was made so the 2nd interview John didn't take anything except for a copy of some forms we submitted just in case. Which in the end we needed because one piece of paper with additional visit dates had been misplaced.

  8. We used a lawyer for the K1 because I wasn't aware of this website, it was a HUGE waste of money. As you pointed out you still had to supply them all the information, all they had to do was take our info and put it ON the forms. When we did the CR1 we didnt use a lawyer. We did all the paperwork ourselves and didnt have any issues with it at all. I would say to a person unless they have a seriously complicated case such as an overstay or legal issues that would be a reason for denial to not waste their money on paying a lawyer.

  9. Congrats to the following who successfully got their visas. May the Lord bless you in rest of yourjourney.

I didn't update my timeline until after I talked to John to make sure it was 100%. I was basing my earlier comment off the fact that our account balance had change but couldnt verify the transaction was infact for the courier.

  10. Congratsxx

What documents did you take to the interview and what was it like?

    Please share your experience>>

I just had John take a copy of the i-864 paperwork and the DS-230 paperwork. Luckly he had it because they said something was missing (although we sent it) and he just gave them a copy of it. Asked how long we had been together, why he left after he got here on the k1, how we keep in touch...that was it then said congratulations.

  11. I was sitting here thinking you know...he wants to wait ANOTHER month to wait and see? That doesn't seem a bit off? If I were miles away from my loved one and it had already been 3 months and he wanted to wait another month to wait and see I would be hot. The reality of it is for as long as you folks will have been waiting for this "missing" NOA1 you could have been nearly through the wait for the NOA2!
