Sounds like you will be just fine by getting married ASAP, and then filing for AOS. Hope it works out!!

Do not throw the constitution into it though, I mean no where does it say in the constitution that we can break the law. Just work the process and you should be fine, try not to stress, cause it really is not as bad as it seems. We just got our I130 approved with no problems and I was thinking forever about how we will be denied. So no worries, it will get done if you just work through the process!!

I had called these people 2 weeks ago and they said they would create a ticket, I really dont know what to think anymore because we are over the 6 months processing time which it was before but as of June 2009 according to their website K1 processing time is 5 month, what is going on, does anyone share in this too. Oh and it's VSC. Gees!

Call your congressman and senators!! They have a liasion there at the USCIS, and in your case will absolutely help!! Call them and do not let up till youve got it!!

I forgot to mention in my original post I firmly believe the NOA2 approval was a DIRECT RESULT of my Congressman's inquiry with the USCIS. Although I can't prove I would not have received the approval within the same time frame even without the inquiry it seems more than coincidental that within 1 day of the inquiry our approval was granted. To all you nay-sayers out there - at least in my case the Congressman's assistance paid off. May the rest of this process go smoothly and quickly for each of you.

I think the same is for us. I received a touch and a change of status that something was mailed to us; it could be approval, request for more evidence, or a denial. Im fairly certain it is a request for more evidence, but the point is that I talked to my congressman that same day and my letter was forwarded to the congressional liaison that day, and our case was looked at that same day! Too coincidental!! Give it a try. We still had about 3 months till we past the waiting period!! Also, pray a lot. I was getting desperately tired of all this and prayed so much, and still am, we have a lot ahead of us still!!

My Fiancee is ready for her medical and interview. I will be with her at the Embassy .

My question is , if I get a roundtrip ticket for me , how can I be sure she can get a ticket on same flight back so we can sit next to each other?

Just book the same flight and ask the airline for seats together!!

My husband and I got my interview letter today. We're so happy that the USCIS are working so fast! My interview appointment will be on Sept. 29, 2009 at 6:30 AM in Dallas, Texas. My husband was wondering about the time "6:30 AM?" Are they really open at 6:30 in the morning? For those who had their interview in Dallas please share your interview experienced.

Obviously this is not a good situation. I would say it is not cool that the guy is illegal and one of the reasons its taking me and my wife forever to get home! But it is also very sad that after reading all of this he will end up just live in hiding because he doesnt want to be separated from his wife. This makes borders just a huge mess. I hope something changes in our government that will prevent this type of thing from happening.

I think CSC was swallowed up by an earthquake and the US Govt doesn't want to admit to it

Seriously some of their officers must be on reaaaaaaaally long vacations as our case has been "being reviewed by and immigration officer" for more than two months now. PPl who applied months after us and had RFE's have gotten their greencards already.

We are going to the Congrssman in a few weeks. His office is upstairs from the local immigration office.

Oh you can go to your congressman for anything. They exist to serve you, and that is also how they get elected. Obviously its not always so simple, but I went to my congressman and we are just 2 months in. They told me they would help! And if they do, I will vote for them for sure!! Kinda how the game works!

yay im so excited we got our NOA2 letter today! still the uscis website says our case is pending.

ITS BEEN KNOWN THAT SOME FOREIGNERS JUST WANT A VISA, SO IM A BIT WORRIED. WHEN I FIRST MET HIM THATS ALL I WOULD HERE. EVERONE WAS WARNING ME THAT HE WOULD JUST USE ME. I IGNORED IT BECAUSE I LOVE HIM AND I WANTED TO SEE FOR MYSELF BUT NOW THAT WE HAVE OUR APPT. IM REALLY WORRIED ABOUT THE FUTURE.MY RELATIONSHIP HAS HAD LOTS OF PROBLEM AND IM SO WORRIED THAT ONCE HE GETS HERE HES NOT GONNA STICK AROUND.

DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT IM FEELING??

OR DOES ANYONE HAVE ADVICE??

The visa process is absolutely stressful, but you need to know where your spouses heart is at. My wife and I have an awesome relationship, but are still newly weds and so this is all new. The visa process does push us a lot and we have problems in our marriage due to it, but I know at the end of the day we are married and are committed to the rest of our lives together. I think the best thing to do is to see what your husband says when he is most rational.

We are about a month and a half in! It feels like this will take forever. I have to move back home to work, so its sad these days. Hopefully we will get past USCIS soon!!
