  1. Hello,

I wonder if I should start worrying.

I sent my package on 7/3/14. The fingerprint appt was completed 8/15/14 in Denver, CO. Since then, nothing. My case status on USCIS website still only mentions they sent me a biometric appt letter.

    Should I contact USCIS?

    Thanks.

Same here. We put in a request on the website 3 weeks ago and it's still saying it hasn't even been assigned. You can check the timelines for your field office. The office we are going through is several months behind. https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/processTimesDisplayInit.do;jsessionid=bacXD1OC9RCyFagQNRyeu

  2. Merry Christmas and best of the holiday season to everyone.

Update: USCIS mailed out the GC on Dec 26th and I received it today. Please update !

Best of luck to all still waiting and congrats to all who have been approved.

    Congratulations!

Sorry, I didn't post earlier but with the holiday I have been busy. We received the GC on 12/27. Thanks to everyone for your help and good luck to those still waiting.

  3. Hey just that I would update you. Hubby came back on Wednesday. He said the only issue was the passport checks took a little longer because they had to scan and check his paper to ensure that he could travel. Once he got here in the states he didn't really have a hassle. Was only told that he should be getting his card soon.

Thank you for the update. I'm not sure what you mean by they had to scan and check his paper to ensure he could travel. Could you elaborate on that a little bit?

    Thanks!

  4. Yeah South 16th Street is the address.

You don't need to cancel the original biometrics schedule if you have yours done earlier. Just don't worry about showing up on the original date since they already have your bio records taken.

Yours wont expire until in two months, you still have all the time to wait for the NOA. Mine expires this month so I needed to asked for extension and tried asking for early biometrics as well in which they granted.

Here's to hoping to no RFE and no Interview!:)

    Goodluck to you!

We went down to the Phoenix office this past week to try to do walk-in biometrics and couldn't get past the security guard. They said they won't take us early.

  5. My husband and I just traveled to Morocco together and we are in the process of ROC. He present his one year extension letter. He is still there and is due to come back in 2 weeks. My hope as I have read throughout here before we left, that he should not have a problem. My understanding is that they will look at the letter and he should be fine. Will let you know. My hope is that you might get more answers from others that have experienced this before.

Yes, please let me know. Thanks!

  6. I know it's a fear, but it is a valid travel document, so personally I don't like to get involved in a cycle of fear. The letter is less easily faked than a stamp, so it should be better.

I am not asking in a cycle of fear. My original question is still unanswered. Should we encounter trouble who can we call and get assistance from so as to avoid a missed flight? I believe in being prepared for all possibilities so you are ready for whatever happens.

  7. Actually I read a detailed report here where someone had the stamp and the letter, and the staff did not like the stamp. They wanted the letter. You can travel on the letter.

It's not the airlines we're worried about, it's the guy at the window who checks your passport before letting you through in Morocco. We don't know if they're going to give my husband any trouble or if the letter is widely known.

  8. I asked this in the MENA forum but I'm not getting any answers. We are concerned that when coming back to the US with the green card and NOA1 extending the green card that the officials in Morocco won't understand that it is ok for my husband to travel and that he may get stuck there. I know one other person said this happened to their friend in a different country and they yelled a lot and finally got on the plane but is there any other recourse? Is there a number to call or anything else we can do to make sure they don't give him any trouble when coming back to the US?

  9. Has anyone traveled to Morocco during the process of removing conditions? We are concerned that my husband may encounter problems when flying back to the US with an expired green card but with the letter saying it has been extended one year (NOA1) for processing. Are they pretty familiar with that process or is this going to be a potential issue when trying to leave the country and come back to the US?

  10. There are several of us that received NOAs for the ASC appointment ie biometric appointment but not the first NOA1 for extension etc....I called NVC today and after 35 minutes on the phone with a person, he escalated up to another level....50 minutes on hold for frig's sakes.....very very long time...what a waste, so i get a guy whom tells me that he sees it being issued June 1st and asks me to wait until friday and call them again if not received by them. i explained that I got the biometrics letter sat Jun 9th and it was issued June 7th, why wouldn't i get the June 1st NOA...he agrees the NOA1 is the normal flow then the bio letter but it is what it is.

so now i'm left with nothing new, just bullshitttte in terms of waiting for service and now we wait to friday to see if something issued 11 days ago will arrive or not. then call them for another 1.5 hour wait. this stuff really annoys me frankly.

Anyway, that's the latest on our end re this stuff. i'll post if I get the NOA1 or after I do this nonsense all over again on friday

Oh my goodness, that is so frustrating! I'm sorry you're getting the runaround. Do you think the post office would be any help at all? What about trying USCIS instead of NVC?

  11. Okay...our check was cashed on 6/6/2012---I can't view the check image though...it's not available on the ebanking website of my bank. But we still didn't receive our NOA 1 yet....hubby's GC is expiring 6/14/2012....I'm planning to call USCIS on Monday if I still didn't see the NOA1 tomorrow (saturday)... anyone know a good phone number to call USCIS to find out the status? I'm so worried as his GC is expiring so soon and without the NOA1, he can't travel or anything... :(

You can make an infopass appointment and go down to get a stamp in his passport, if needed. But I would definitely call. I'm sure it'll be there soon.

    Thanks sooo much! :)

    Sure thing and good luck!

  12. Hello my fellow May fillers! Congratz to all who have received your NOA's and appointments and/or both! :) this being said, I really need your help, 'cause I'm freaking out!!! I received my letter of appointment today! (Yaaayyy) only problem: NO NOA!!! :o so, I'm relying on your ideas. Any help would be highly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

I bet it's coming but you can try calling USCIS. The phone number is at the end of the I-751 instructions.
