hmmm that sucks; we were hoping to be out of NZ by mid December.

Things can speed up as they have before.

My wife has to leave NZ mid January as her NZ work permit runs out so I just hope we know by then.

Yesterday we sent the NVC our RFE for both DS230 and i864 so no clue when we will have our interview :-( they said they will have an update 20 days from when we sent off the RFEs so here is hoping.

When did you send your i-864's and DS230's?

Your interview will go by fine; they didn't even ask me any questions at mine in 2005, they just took my passport and made me sign some paperwork.

It hasn't messed anything up for immigration purposes; we just hate New Zealand now and have been stuck here against our will since 2008 because until now we have been financially unable to go back to the US.

I have already lived in the US for 3 years with a greencard but i.abandoned it to come back to nz to live... Bad decision LOL.
