  1. Hello Everyone,

I have been in India for the last 5 weeks and just got back sunday night along with my fiance, so i could not post. My Fiance had her interview on Dec 2nd and passed it. I went to the US Embassy along with her, I was able to hear all the questions and her answers. It was fairly simple questions. We came to the US on December 20th and we are planning to get married in Virginia court tomorrow.

Congratulations to everyone who have gotten their Visa's.

  2. I just called NVC, they said my package was ready to leave on the OCT 20th to Chennai, India and they don't have any other info. They confirmed my email address and also got my fiance's email address. Will they notify us by email. Has anyone recieved emails from NVC once the package is shipped or recieved by the embassy?

You will not get an email from them.. The next correspondence will be from the consulate if they in fact are sending it out...

I got a call today from someone at NVC asking for my ex-wife.... I explained that we were divorced and gave them her # if they wanted to speak to her... I did not ask who it was as I knew the # from someone posting it in the NVC AP forum earlier this month... I am still trying to get through to see if the case status has changed at NVC for me.. I expect mine will go out today or tomorrow... one can track packages from NVC if you know the day it left...

Here is the tracking # for your pkg through DHL... 8806300285

I cant be sure but there is a good likelyhood that is yours..

Thanks Scott. I hope it's mine.

I can't believe NVC is calling you abt your ex fine. I hope and pray everything goes fine.

  3. Ok Guys, how long does it take VSC to send the papers to NVC? My case was approved on Oct 6th and I got the approval notice on Oct 10th. I just called VSC and they don't have my case yet.

On a diff note, even though my case is approved, the USCIS website hasn't been updated yet. Does this have anything to do with my case not being transferred to VSC? I don't think so, but I was wondering...

  5. I called my Congressman's office around 11:30 AM Oct 6th and I spoke to his immigration liason and told her about my case. She asked me to wait on the line and called VSC and told me that the case is assigned to an officer and she couldn't gather any other info at this time and we will have to wait.

So I booked an info pass appt for today to see if my case is struck on FBI or Name Check and I find out them this morning my case was approved on Oct 6th. Even though I am very happy that my case is approved, I know my case was sitting on someone's desk without being worked on and the only reason it was approved was because of the liason's phone call. I know there are so many of you that are in my boat, so please call your congressman... But my status hasn't been updated in the USCIS website.

SO please call your congress man/woman....

    Good Luck to Everyone...

    Thankseveryone for all ur help.

  6. Guys, I am really frustrated that I haven't even got a touch. I called USCIS, they have the same status that's on the website. Is there any way I can talk to someone at VSC to know the real status.

Is there anything that I could do to get this process going...

  7. It's driving me nuts as well seeing the July approvals. I can feel for the Mar and April filers who are getting their approvals now.

I haven't had a touch since 06/26/09. Is that mean they haven't done any work on my case? Hopefully our's will be this week.

In any case I am happy that June filers will have their fiances here by Christmas. I just have to remind you all that I was the 1st to say that hehehe...

  8. Sep 25th is my Birthday. Hopefully I will get my present too... that will be really cool.. B)

I have a diff question, may be this is not right forum, but I will ask it anyway. if my fiance gets her visa without any problems, we would like to come to the US by Dec 20th. Can we get married right away or we need to wait until we get our SSN or Driver's licence? We would like to get married by the end of this year for other reasons... Any input/suggestions???

  9. You ever been so happy that you just break out in tears... :crying:

I am sitting here grading and I get a text on my Iphone... From USCIS....

My son thought I actually had a heart attack or broke something... Wow... That is a load off of my mind! The MUST have gotten my supplement pkg to have approved it....

I think it's time for us to get our Packet3 ready .

I just checked our case status a few minutes ago and WE GOT APPROVED!!!!!!

  11. Just to give an idea that VSC has picked up the pace, here's the NOA2 Approval no's for the last few months....It started going down from May to July. I am guessing they were processing H1B Visas during that time and are back after finishing them. I think August Approvals will be close to 140 as there are 3 more days in the month and many would not have updated VJ timeline.

Again my 2 cents for the day, just to keep you all and me little happy.

Leaving to India tomorrow for my formal engagement(08/30) and will be there for 2 weeks  . So I will see you all once i come back.

  12. :wow: Another week of 40+ woo hoo!:dance:

At this rate most of us will see mid to late September... and my VJ timeline says late Nov....

    c'mon Christmas!

That's exacty what I have been saying from the beginning  Most of the June filers should get their Approvals in September if the current pace keeps up. I just did a rough count of applications in VJ before my NOA1, there were about 200 of them, if they are processing 40/week, that would take them 5 weeks. so I am guessing I can expect mine somewhere around mid September.

sorry wrong calculation  , I expect mine around 1st week in october , I will feel lucky if i get mine in Sep...

  14. I guess I am just bored and I thought of doing this, Please forgive me if it doesn't makes sense...

Looking at the VJ Timeline List, this is the no of k1 filings every month

    Dec' 08 - 123

    Jan' 09 -124

    Feb' 09 - 142

    Mar' 09 - 149

    Apr' 09 - 114

    May' 09 - 96

    Jun' 09 - 78

The filings spiked during Feb & Mar, not sure why and the no's are way down for May and June. It is possible that people haven't signed up yet for May and June.

I think if they get past Feb & March filings, which I think they did, they should move faster to us.

So please take it for whatever it's worth, just my 2 cents. I don't want a multi million dollar suit on me for this :innocent:

  15. USCIS has updated the processing times https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/processTimesDisplay.do couple of days back and I just noticed VSC has a goal of approving I-129's in 5 months whereas it showed Dec 2008 last month. If their goal is 5 months for all the applications, i would guess all the June Filers would have their approvals by Nov and atleast half of us would get it in Sep & Oct. So I think Christmas is a real possibility for all of us.

  16. Hello Everyone! One more June Filer that's hoping to bring his fiance by Christmas. I am just crossing my fingers and biting my nails just like you guys...

    Good Luck u all

By Christmas? Wow.. good luck with that happening.. Most June VSC's wont get NOA2 until late OCT or Nov the way things have been going... and then there is the time to get to NVC and then embassy... and te wait to get an appointment on top of that... I am expecting visa sometime Feb at this point... but I agree December would be nice...

I see a lot of March filers and few April filers gettting NOA2 now. So there is a possibility June filers might get NOA2 starting mid October, Add 2 months for the Conulate Process. She might have her visa by December  I know this will happen only in the best case scenario. We will see...
