  1. Yes, as with most things having to do with the K-1 interview, it is consulate specific. Mexico won't even offer the opportunity for those applying for a K-1 to get the vaccinations at their medical so they have a completed DS-3025. Vaccinations are not a requirement for a K-1 visa, but they are for AOS once in the US and married.

To the OP> If you can get them at your medical in Manila and have your DS-3025 complete, then it is best. It saves you from having to find a civil surgeon later and possibly go through another unnecessary medical and pay more than you should for a simple vaccination transcription onto the I-693. Many civil surgeons insist on another medical, even though USCIS instructions clearly state you do not need one. They also overcharge people all the time, simply because they can. It takes a lot of time and effort to track down one that will do the I-693 correctly and at a reasonable rate for a K-1.

Thanks for the info, big help!!!! :)

  2. Seriously??? This is not E-Harmony....... :wow:

Tell me something.. Why in the Philippines exactly? I would think to find love wherever it exists and not limit myself to one country?

But this is just my humble opinion.....

I don't recall "limiting" myself but I love the Philippine people and the country and plan to retire there some day.

My advice would be to stop dating 'girls' and find a female adult!

Thanks for the valuable advice on the semantics....it will come in handy I'm sure.

  3. Hi, my name is Ken. I had met a wonderful girl and gone through the visa (K1) process. The visa was approved and then my girl got cold feet or her family changed her mind, so here I am at the beginning again. It's been about a year since our relationship ended.

I am asking if anyone knows a lady in the Philippines who would like to get to know me I am ready to start again to get to know someone. I am 54, live in Dallas, have a good job and work hard.

I would ask that this be someone you know personally so that I can steer clear of scammers, etc.

    Thank you one and all.

  4. Close - I filed ours in the middle of August. Just got the NOA2 approval notice on the 29th of Sept. Where is your fiance? Melanie lives in the Cebu area.

wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You got it that quick!!!! I would love to have to just wait 6 weeks for it that is awesome!!!! Pam is in Urbiztondo, Pangasinan ........Did Melanie get all her stuff done yet? Pam got all her paperwork this week that she needs. Her Passport will be in next week .......I even had her get a TB test yesterday (which was negative)and when she wakes up she is going to the hospital for a chest ex ray to be checked !!!!!! I don't want to take any chances with a delay!!! Those 2 things cost less than $10.00 hehehe

I really was thorough when I sent the packet. Checked and rechecked and checked again!!

Melanie has all her documentation in order so we should be in good shape when the time comes. She just got her passport renewed so that's done......I can't wait for this to be done!

  5. HERE WE GOOOOOOO!!!! Just sent in my I-12F packet today (USPS overnight) and now comes the fun. The information I found here was very helpful and I think I got everything right. This is my second go-round. My ex-wife is from the Philippines (as is my next wife :D ) and the first time, about 10 years ago, I didn't have any problems so I'm hoping it all goes as smoothly this time.

Thanks for all the information!!!
