You can also send money via Western Union or MoneyGram as well and she would be able collect the money here in a matter of minutes after you do the transfer. You can find agents around you on their websites and it does cost less than bank wire transfers.

I added you to the VSC list! Welcome to the thread! I'm so glad to be part of a big group! ^___^ It makes the process a little easier, being able to share news with other people who know how stressful it can be waiting...
Thank you, Fatima!! Glad to be part of the group as well

Hello dear VJ members,
I was at my AOS interview on Jan 19 and the IO took my I-94 and my EAD and requested more documents to send in. I did that within the specified 30 days and still have not heard anything from USCIS. I had a touch on both I-485 and I-130 on Jan 28th.
My question is to know if i'm on the right track and what if I am requested by a new employer to present eployment verification documents?
Any input will be greatly appreciated.
I'm guessing 28th Jan was when they placed the requested document in your file, so I think they are probably working on your case now and you will hear from them shortly. So fingers crossed for you that you'll receive your Green Card soonest.

thanks,
but you were just asked to go wait for a decision isn't it?
Well, I had my interview on the 6th of Jan was asked to send in the requested document within 30 days. I sent the document on the 16th of Jan and received approval email on the 27th of Jan.
Do you have any futher questions?

Just a quick question please.
Was your I-94 and EAD taken during your AOS interview?
Only my I-94 was taken at the interview, so I still have my EAD with me. Hope this helps!

good job getting that sorted out laurelmike!
it seems that they require it for certain people and not others. i read somewhere that it was voluntary too.
we just have to jump through all the hoops. still..... it will be the last hoops for 1 year and 9 months!
Thanks Hudons!! We certainly have to jump through all the hoops
Hey everyone, just stopping by before we leave for Philly. We're staying overnight then tomorrow is the big day! I'm a bit nervous but trying to stay positive! You'll both definitely do great.
All the best tomorrow

I received I-130 approval notice letter in a mail a couple nights ago. Did any of you receive the approval letter?? I don't really see this step of the whole AOS process in people's profile, so was wondering if anyone else received it....
Congrats KM!!!
ReeRee.... I did receive the I-130 approval notice letter in the mail today.
Update: I did go to the County Health department. The nurse/doctor was furious that I had been mandated to start treatment as it supposed to be purely voluntary in cases of latent TB. The doctor said she will be taking it up with USCIS for future applicants. Fortunately, I should get the letter requested tomorrow and send it off as soon as possible.
