  1. DOnt know Seahawks21 story but My wife didnt have here NSO Certificate of Marriage when she interviewed on Nov 3rd. She did get a copy to the Embassy on Nov 5th. I emails the Embassy asking them whats up and got a yes we got it but no further info other than giving me a phone number to a call center. I called then (cost $18) and all they told me was wait 6-8 weeks. Well its Dec 9 now and my wife and I haven't heard anything. I call my Senators office here on Dec 3rd and ask them for assistance . They informed me that our package would have gone on the bottom of the stack once the Embassy had all our documents then I would need to wait my turn. Which means all the other packages coming from NVC etc that came before Nov 5th would go before me. I ask what would happen if they found more ####### I was missing. Would I got to the bottom of the stack again and then again. Do they have any obligation to tell me all the things that are missing at one time. She got the message but said all she can do for me is to inquire. I will be calling tomorrow and see what's up.

My question is has anyone here gone through this and if so how long does it take once they have the NSO in their hands to issue a VISA. I am hoping my wife will get to US by Christmas but its not looking good.

The will send the visa by way of Air21 as soon as they get the document in their hands. I went through the same delay. I've been telling everyone. CENOMAR CENMAR have all when going to the interview or it will cause a delay.

  2. I was just wondering, for those who were finished with their medical, what's the best time and day to go? Like super early? or what? Thank you so much for your feedbacks...:)

There is a line forming very early there, 5am. But my wife's friend was there super early at 5 and my wife arrived at 6:30. My wife was finished before her friend reached the halfway point. There seems to be no rhyme or reason to who they call first or last. Still, early is the safe bet.

  3. My wife is such a Kuripot. I am the one who always want to send money to our family in the phils. She converts everything into Pesos in her mind. If I want to send 100 bucks she will say :ranting: You will send them four thousand three hundred pesos ba?!?!?!?!?!?! remember they are not in Manila, things are cheap in their barangay. She makes it sound like so much money.. She protects our finances from the family. I use to complain about it, but after reading the post on this thread, I guess I should be grateful.

  4. My wife is 7 days in America. She said "wow AMERICA is one big AIRCON!" But we went shopping and she really enjoyed dressing up like a snow bunny. I keep our place nice and toasty, and the holiday season festivities and decorations really makes her enjoy this season. The problem will be January 2nd until March. Whewwww It's just cold during that time with no distracting holidays. My wife is from Mindanao and her barangay was pretty humbled with very little electricity, no roads and so on. She says "No mosquitos biting at night? No flying roaches? NO PROBLEM!" We will just go into the downtown district and ice skate until spring.

  5. HI GUYS,

Please help me.. My interview will be on December 6, 2010, 7 am.

What are the questions ask during interview... As the spouse of the petitioner, do i need to bring pictures?

What I have prepared as of this time for the documents are"

    - Affidavit of Support

    - remittances from Western Union

    - Pictures from our wedding

    - Marriage Certificate from NSO

    - Birth Certificate from NSO

    - Police Certificate

    - NBI

    - passport picture

We had our interview in October. We had all the things you mentioned but only the guard asked for them. Still, it's better to have too much than not enough. The one thing that caused us a 3 week delay was the CENOMAR. The cenomar we had was expired. If you don't have a recent cenomar, I recommend getting one. My wife had to go to Pasay City to get one and then wait 3 weeks for the visa to be delivered Air21... (which they never delivered and forced her to travel 3 hours to the neighboring province to pick it up. It's the one thing that the Consular requested during the interview.

  6. if your wife already attended the ceminar i dont know why she doesnt know how to get the sticker

Well she understood the nun to tell her to go to the dfa office in manila. Then she called back they said to go to the NAIA TERMINAL 1 to get the cfo sticker at the airport. Then another said she must go to the CFO offices in paco manila.. So i thought i should get on VJ and see what others have done.

  7. My wife attended and completed her CFO Seminar. She needed it to get her passport. Now that she has completed her interview and received the visa. What are the steps to getting the Sticker?

  8. thank you ssooo much but you know why i get lawyer because i did make mastk

1 - i full F129 to brain my husband there and i need to full I-130

2- from day i sended papers to officee i never hear anything from dos pples .

3- is 2 years when i marry my husband and we are not otoghter

tell me more if u can please

have him follow the Lingche Shortcutshttp://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/LingChe_NVC_ShortCut Better than any lawyer, My wife had a friend who was petitioned before she was. My wife has already passed her interview, and her friend with her lawyer was denied because of document errors. so her 2 thousand dollar lawyer was of no help. For those who are successful with lawyers seem to get approved no faster than those who simply follow the visa journey guidelines.

  9. Thanks for all of your comments. Yes she did have a Marriage certificate issued by NSO, and they also received to certified copies of the marriage cert from NVC. The problem is She had to move back to her province which is a very dangerous place. Her family could not stay in the condo any longer. And she insisted on going back with them because she want them to be at the airport when she leaves. So now the delays concerns me because her area is really unsafe, Ganun talaga. But I can only wait now. They said she doesnt have to go back to the embassy, They will simply mail it when they receive the update which will be sent by NSO directly to Embassy.

  10. I am really confused. A cenomar is suppose to show that a person is single before they are married. Yet my wife had her interview and provided her Cenomar which was dated 2008, it was received for our marriage. The Embassy says they will mail her visa Air21, but they want her to send them an updated Cenomar because the one she submitted is too old. This doesnt make sense because we are married, and the Cenomar provided clearly shows that she was single at the time that we married. How can that expire?

  11. the CFO's requirement for you to get a sticker is your visa on your passport, not a cenomar http://www.cfo.gov.ph/

The process Sucks. It serves as only added head ache, to a already long suffering system.

My wife completed her interview, She was approved. But with a few conditions. She had her cenomar, but it expired. They told her that they will send her her visa using AIR21 service, after they receive her updated Cenomar. The whole process takes about 3 weeks. It doesnt make any sense. We are already married. The cenomar was valid to cover that time period of our Wedding. So the problem for us is, we cant get our sticker until they get the cenomar. The system is already difficult enough without the adding of this Cenomar/CFO sticker process. Now she must fly here and fly there and fly here and fly there again. :bonk: Just let her come home to her husband na. We've suffered enough.

  12. Thank you so much guys....God Bless us all...☺♥

Congrats to you. If I may ask, did they tell you how soon you would receive your visa? My wife is staying in a Condo temporarily that we are renting. I keep hearing 2weeks Air21. But I've seen where people are getting it the next day. I'm hoping since she will be there a week after her interview, she can get it while she is there.

  13. Book a round trip, and then take note of your return flight number, then buy her a one way on that same flight number???

If you do it back to back, and you select seats, you could even sit together.

I guess I don't understand what your concern/trouble is...Is it checking in? You can go to the counter together and just tell the check-in person both of your locator numbers etc.....

Thats the problem. on orbitz, expedia, and so on, the return flights are never available for one way travel. I even called expedia and got the same answer. After they are finished working out something to get us on the same flight, the price has jumped about 1k. Its ridiculous. I don't know why the option is not available when booking a flight. just simply select 2 passengers returning.

  14. Guess What everyone. Guess what. I JUST GOT A CALL FROM CSC and my case has been APPROVED

I am really really really happy right now. Cant even explain the feeling. You all should be getting yours soon as well. I was told that they are working on early april cases now.

:dance:Johndoe12, got my dance for ya :dance: some for CaliPhil :dance::dance: welcome to the fast lane :dance: you both just traded in your bicycle for a Corvette :dance::dance:

  15. Hey rvince, I know this is a little late, but congrats!! I wholeheartedly agree with you about the people mentioned above. I too have benefited from their tips and tricks and this journey has been a whole lot better with them by my side (your know what I mean)!

Yesssss and I do apologize for forgetting you on the list. I know I missed some people, thats the hazzard of mentioning names  But wow, I never expected that joining this group would be a blessing from God. It really made the journey tolerable. This group is what this Visajourney.com is all about. I was clueless, I mean CLUELESS. But because of you all, My wife thinks I'm a freaking Genius. I hope she's ready for the shocker

  16. rvince- WOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOO!!!      :thumbs:  Thanks for thanking me   Wow...how exciting that you are now just waiting for the interview to come around! Yay!!! Don't forget to sleep...you still have some time to sleep before your family is reunited and then no more sleep :P:dance:

Well not only are you a great VJ member, you inspire others to be great as well. You have been a blessing to many. As Indigo Skies suggested, I will stay and give whatever help I can give to people coming in as clueless as I was. Sleep? I think i went to bed at 4:30am and woke up at 7 saying yahoooooooooo   Maybe I guess I will sleep early tonight.

  17. Great News rVince!!!:dance: Your welcome but remember we all lean of one another from time to time. We all rant and are confused and wonder what the hecks going on... It all the support we give each other that make it tolerable. Glad your interview is OCT 20 maybe I will be early November then. I did say Maybe. This place is like Las Vegas you get on streaks of up and down... Right now I am rope a doping it. I can see they are getting tired haha...Keep us posted on the results and again Congrats...:dance: Gotta Love it...

Yeah I will be active again on this thread. I'm not as brilliant as many members on this thread. I had to really focus and handle my NVC process like a newborn baby with lots of love and attention.

Also, Instead of flying her to the Medical then back home and then back for an interview, Someone gave me the wonderful Idea of setting her up with an Apartment in Manila. She hasn't seen a doctor since who knows when, so she must get her exam at least 2 weeks in advance. Found some Great places where people are renting condos for a month completely furnished in the heart of Manila at half the cost of a 2 week's stay in a nice hotel. This way there is no rushing, no back and forth to her province, and she has all the time she need between her medical and her interview.

Enjoy the city life, malls and restaurants all she can. Because once she arrive in the US, we will be eating salami sandwiches for about 6 months  I need time to rebuild financially.

  18. Rvince,

CONGRATULATIONS!!!GLAD TO HEAR THAT NEWS,,,keep my finger crossed and pray for your

interview,,,everything will be fine as long as she prepared for that.

    from: Marivic Diggs

    Rvince,

sorry i mean your WIFE interview!!!

Maraming salamat po. I really appreciate your prayers. I pray also for you and your wife. I like the NVC process much better than the USCI process. This entire month has been good to us in spite of some really tough times in the previous months. I just thank God for the much welcomed good news. As from what u can see in this post, I am having a hard time sleeping from the excitement. :dancing:

  19. I'd like to thank Tom D, Indigo Skies, The Jesal, Johndoe, Russ and Mary, Rich and Bey, Marie_yahya and especially TEYAVALENTINA for accepting me in this group. Tolerating my rants, and impatience. Giving me tips and making me feel that i can do it without a lawyer. My wife has her Interview date of OCTOBER 20. I know God is with us, but Its in her hands now. I've done all I can do. With the help of many people in this group, I manage to do what seemed impossible before I joined this group. I know I've been gone for awhile but after I got my NOA2, I had to really focus to kick that can across the finish line. Thank you all so very much. I was truly lucky to find this wonderful group. :crying:

  oh yeahhh   got the interview date   unhhh hunnnh   watch me dance na   Getting busy na   who's your daddy na   I'm the daddy na   big daddy na

  20. Hi,

I was just wondering if it is necessary or otherwise a good/bad idea to send an email to the Consulate (ISL-PAK) to kind of confirm the interview date/time? This is ofcourse after the NVC has send me Appointment letter by email.

    Thanks & Best Regards.

Actually I had to ride the Embassy's back to give me a date. They kept repeating that I am not in the system, and today I called and an Angel answered the phone and gave me the date made of gold. I dont know if it was because of my bugging them, or just good timing; But I wouldn't change what I did. That and much praying.

  21. Chinook and I are still waiting for our letter from the Embassy too! :clock::pop::D

Chinook had her medical on a Monday and a Tuesday. She arrived at St. Lukes both days in the late morning or the early afternoon so that she would avoid the morning rush. To be admitted into St. Lukes for her medical, Chinook showed manong guard her NOA2 from the USCIS, and her MNL case number from the National Visa Center. She had no problems.

Good luck with your medical and your interview! :star:

So you are saying that you got your interview and passed, but never receieved the interview letter even until now?
