We dont have joint ownership of property
We dont have combined financial resources
I cant use our childrens birth cert because of the "wrong advise" to us before that Never use the fathers surname nor put the fathers name on the Birth cert.
Is there any proof you can suggest that I can add to my proof of a bonafide marriage?

Hi everyone. Another question, Since my husband is the only one that I need to file petition for, the requirements i need to complete is the form I-130 & I-130A?
and i saw that i need a proof of a bonafide marriage. I only have our marriage certificate which is less than a year old and photos of us together is that enough? Thanks in advance.

That was a good suggestion aaron2020. Thank you. Another thing to ask our 3 kids is still under my surname and we didnt put my husbands name on their birth certificate because of the advise that it will affect our petition during that time. (By the way I was petitioned by my mom an LPR im under F2B category and my 3 kids are my derivatives) Do you have any suggestions how can we fix this? Can I also change their surname under their father's surname when I get my citizenship?

Thank you now I understand. Thanks for your time. God bless you.

Thank you for all your replies. But im still confused because when I got here in US im still single all of my govt' id's like greencard, sss,ca id and even my passport my status is single.(then got married, stayed only a month in Philippines so no time to change my married name and civil status)Do i need to change the civil status on all of my id's here in US?Do I need to report to them that Im married now before I file the I130 or is it ok to declare when I filed the I130?
Since you said that there is no law in USA to change name when married, its fine to make my name remain the same?

I see. That was the same letter I received last 2001. Telling me that my case ID, category which is f2b and priority date which is 8/16/1999. I've waited for like 9 years to receive a letter telling me that visa can now be processed. I hope that helps.

What category are you in? And what did the letter say?
Preference Category: F2B - UNMARRIED SONS AND DAUGHTERS OF PERMANENT RES.
the letter pertains to my interest in immigrating to the USA. it also says that the visa numbers are not presently available for my use, i will be notified when further consideration can be given to processing my application for immigration.

What is the letter that you received?
What are the forms included?
hi sylkie, theres no forms included in the letter. its only a 1 pc letter pertaining my interest in immigrating to the US and includes my case number, preference category and my priority date.

it'll take 4-5 years till your petition will be current... so give it till 2010 or 2011... and just wait till they'll start to process your documents and thats when you update and inform them that you have a lil angel with you. They are currenty processing march 2005 so shall i say your mom will be receiving stuff from USCIS next year!
hi there mitch! i received the notification letter from the National Visa Center last October 13,2009, in the letter includes my case number. upon receiving the said letter my sister and mom(who is in california) called the NVC for confirmation. now my question is, what would be the next step? its been 4months of waiting...please tell me what to do next.
thanks.

I was told that Its not that simple to go to the local civil registry to have the fathers name. I need to file it at court and need to pay big bucks.
By the way If I only have our marriage certificate and the photos isn't that enough? Do you think there's a big chance that it will get denied?
