  1. Finally!!!!! I received the card production ordered e-mail from CRIS this morning, I am so relieved!!( I can finally sleep with both eyes closed  ) Thanks to you all and i wish everybody luck with this painstaking process. Patience Is Key!

Congratulations. We are in the same position and had the mini stokes thing, it sounds like some of the same questions - we had out interveiw yesterday so waiting waiting waiting. I am so happy for you guys

I am sure you are gonna get approved too, so like you said....keep waiting. My advice is just relax! (easier said than done) and in less than 2 weeks, you'll get good news. Thanks

Almost the same here...They didn't receive my fingerprints so they couldn't complete my case on the day of the interview.

The interview was a very pleasant and easy conversation but at the end the officer said that "I'm sorry but I can't complete your case today because I didn't get your fingerprints. I was surprised myself to notice that we don't have them".

So I did my fingerprints about a week ago and now I'm waiting...and waiting...

The good thing is you know what the issue is and you have taken care of it. Once your name clears, you are gonna get greened!

  2. ]Hi VJers, Our interview was on Monday 28th by 11.00am, In the first place, the GPS took us to a wrong place and we had to find out the hard way, but we finally made it like 5 mins late. We got in and the officer at the desk was really nice and took our letter while directing us to sit down. We sat down for like 5 mins and I noticed a certain woman going up and down the lobby and looking at us with the side of her eyes, my wife and her kinda suspected she was gonna be our IO and guess what? She was!

    The interview played out mainly as a mini-stokes interview where we got separated right from the start with my wife going in first with all the documents and pics. She was asked the following questions;

My name, how we met, how many bedrooms, how many brothers and sisters, favorite sports team, favorite movies, how much I earn, how much she earns, what kinda graduate program I am studying, what my research interest is, what kinda sports I play and position, what kinda medications she uses, her daughter from a previous relationships name and birthday. After that, their conversation was like a friendly one spanning from football (they both have the same favorite team) to dancing with the stars(funny ain’t it?). We showed her joint bank docs, joint insurance docs, joint cell phone bills, e.t.c At the end of the interview, she took my I-90 and said everything looked alright and she was gonna have to review the case, that made me disappointed because I hoped we were gonna be approved on the spot because all of our answers matched except that I didn’t mention all 3 medications( I mentioned just 1) and my wife didn’t know what position I play. Its been 4 days after the interview now. I pray she makes a decision quick cos the wait is so not cool

  3. OMG, I CANNOT BELIEVE THIS:

Just got an e-mail from CRIS saying that my EAD card production was ordered! I didn't even think you could get approved so fast after the biometrics, after a WEEK. I wasn't expecting that at all for at least 2-3 weeks. I hvent started looking for a job or anything lol

CHIQY, I'm sorry they didn't let you do a walk-in, but if it makes you feel better: I've noticed a tendency that a lot of people who go to a bio appt on time get their EAD and interview letter shortly after the appt, so keep your hopes up! I'm sure it will work out well!

Pinayangelus, congrats with the interview letter, I think you have sufficient evidence! Either way, you don't have a SSN yet, so they can't accuse you of not having much evidence without one.

Yipeeee!!!! I am glad you are getting ur EAD, looks like things are moving fast for us... Guess i'll be getting mine soon too

  4. Bellybutton, just curious: did you get an e-mail from CRIS stating that they sent you the interview letter, or maybe a touch like 5-6 days before you recieved it? Also, what do you think of bringing as proof of marriage?

Inna, I did not get any CRIS e-mail notifying me that interview letter has been sent, the last touch i had was like 11days prior to the letter. In terms of docs to bring for interview all we have now is joint cell phone bills, joint lease, joint account. we are about to get whatever we can add to it because it is kinda impromptu. I would advise anybody to start getting documents for interview as soon as you can. Best of luckl

  5. Congrats, BellyButton! That is really an amazing case!

I haven't had any update on my case yet, even though it's been over a week since I sent the RFE back, and I'm so nervous to do a walk-in biometrics because of that :( Should I do a walk-in while the case is on hold??

Thanks Inna, If i were you, i would do a walk-in cos i dont think the biometrics is dependent on status update. Plus I think a walk-in will speed up your process to make up for the time spent on RFE. Good luck

  6. DID i mention? On the phoneline inquiry of the USCIS 1800 number states that our case is at SUMMIT, MO location ~~~ i thought we sent it to Chicago~~~ why would it be in MISSOURI?

    Anyhow,~~~ anyone??

What does your status state on the website when you received your biometrics appt?

    1. You just have to wait for your biometrics appointment  , it ussually arrives nothing more than 10 days after you received your NOA's

    2. If you are filing for AOS through marriage, your case is gonna be transferred to Missouri Service Center, so no need to worry

    3. My status did not change for receipt of biometrics notice and i don't think it does change for anybody, so like i said, keep waiting. Best Of Luck!!!!!!!
