  1. You should only travel if you have already done biometrics, if not you may miss biometrics and screw things up.

Your card expires on march 1st. The earliest you can mail it is December 2nd. Friday, December 2, 2011

  2. Hi, my gc expires march 1st, and i know the 90 day begins by approx. dec. 1st. so am i supposed to send the application during this period between dec. - march 1st? or should it be sent before dec. 1st? and also , say if i need to travel abroad for 3 weeks in decemeber, would it b advisable to travel while my documents r in processing at uscis? or should or can i send the documents and application for ROC after my vacation? Please give me opinions everyone.

  3. According to the I-751 Instructions, the affidavit DOES have to contain that info. (I-751 Instructions, page#2).

And to answer your original question, it doesn't matter that your mom and dad live in the same household the instructions state: It doesn't exclude relatives or household members. So I think your mom and your dad should be fine.

Thanks all for the opinions! keep 'em coming!

  4. It should be from people you spend the most time with as a couple but you can use your parents yes. Also affidavits are not needed if you have a lot of good evidence.

I spend time with many friends. But i dont know if anyone would be willing to sign a document containing their personal info like date and place of birth. thats Y i thought of asking my own parents. even though they havent lived with us and seen us for the past year.

  5. Hi I was looking thru the list of things to submit for the removal process. Amongst it, its mentioned about 2 affidavit letters from 2 people stating about our relationship etc. Now does it matter who the 2 persons are? I was thinking of getting my mom and dad (from US.A. living in another state )as the 2 person forming 2 letters. Is this ok? or should the 2 persons be from 2 different households?

This removal process is for my husband.

    please reply soon!!

  6. hi i would like to know at what point r we supposed to have the police clearance ready? and when and where is it sent...and with which application or document? i jes need to know ahead of time to get things ready...at same time i have to calculate the timing correctly as these pcc's r valid for only 6 months. im still waiitn for noa2.

  7. Wow Maltrothien, you're so lucky! Did you send in a ton of evidence? (and thanks for explaining the IR-1!)

Hehe, thank you. I sent in a copy of our marriage certificate, copies of the first bank statement to the most recent, same for both our credit cards, copy of our lease agreement, a copy of our rental insurance agreement, and an affidavit from my father (who was at our wedding). I also wrote up a timeline in our cover letter about our relationship and my immigrating to Canada to marry my husband.

    (you're most welcome!)

    Thank you. :)

For the touches - you would just log into the USCIS website, and anytime the date changed, that was a touch.

Oh ok, thanks for letting me know!!

    No problem. :)
