  3. Hi Everyone.

SMS couriers arrived this morning with a big red security bag with a big envelope with lots of black writing and a security seal, plus my passport and my big old K1 Visa in there!!!!

I have looked at it for over 10 mins with a big BIG grin on my face !

Thank you, thank you & thank you again to everyone at VJ who has made this process so much easier !!

My flight is already booked and will be heading out of blighty on October 3rd, Now starts the clear out, E-bay sessions and probably a few visits to oxfam to get rid of the unimportant stuff and get what I want to take with me to the USA.

(Just need to find a good time to tell the boss that I wont be around for much longer, doubly awkward as he gave me a promotion only 3 months ago  )

Good luck to everyone going through the K1 process. You really are in good hands with this lot :)

  6. Hello guys!!

So grateful, got the very famous pink slip!!!:dance::dance: Thank you all for all the help!

My interview was last July 30 @ 7AM and here's my experience

Woke up early around 4am since have to have time to dry my hair, forgot my blower! toink .. Hired a taxi and arrived at the embassy @ exactly 5:45. I have learned that you will not be served on a first come first serve basis because the guards will be asking your interview time and those with earlier schedule will enter the embassy first. So even if i arrived later than those with 8AM schedule, i entered the embassy first.

    Immediately after the entrance, you will find a waiting area before you can enter the embassy building. You will be lead by the guards, so no need to worry. Upon entry, all will be scanned, so make sure not to bring any electronic devices-Cellphones,USB, camera etc. Inside you will be asked to go to a booth for your number. After which, take your seat and wait for your number or your name to be called. Your name will be called for finger scanning, and your number for the interview, so listen and be attentive. Finger scanning or pre screener interview could either come first. In my case, was interviewed by pre screener first then finger scan. The pre screener questions were;

Who is your petitioner ? How old is he? What is his job? Has he visited you?

Then she asked for any pictures, gave her the proof of meeting folder which contains our pictures.

After the pre screener interview, waited for hmmnn 30mins for finger scanning. Then waited for around 45 mins for the Consul's interview. PATIENCE ...... just a few hours to finish this step so have to be patient

    My Consul is a young handsome american, cant take my eyes out of him, was just amazed how young he is for doing that kind of job. He greeted me " Magandang Umaga''. Kumusta ka ?'' Answered back in tagalog. He asked me to raise my hands and swear. Pause, scanned my papers and asked me to wait while he typed. His questions were;

Who is your petitioner ? What is his job? Have you been married before ? Has he been married before? Then have me looked at my picture and asked, Is this him? said YES! with a big SMILE :D

He scanned my papers again, hmmn as if dont know what to do next hahaha maybe conscious, kidding! hahaha. Then he said, m' your papers are great and no problem. Your Visa is approved, Welcome to America and enjoy your marriage!!

I said. Thank you so much! a BIG SMILE again :D

Went outside the room (Consul's interview is inside a small room) and was lead to a counter where my folder was handed back to me and asked me to pay @ the Air21 booth for the delivery of my visa. My visa arrived yesterday August 4.

My interview went very smooth and i couldnt have done it well without you guys.. so THANK YOU SO MUCH!

For August interviewees, GOODLUCK!! go for the PINK SLIP!

    Hi...

CONGRATULATION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HAVE A NICE TRIP...WELCOME TO US!!!!!!!

    god bless u....

God bless u all....we all know that God will always with us....!!!!

  8. Hello guys.... thanks to all of you! good.gif Got pink slip yesterday! star_smile.gif

I will be sharing you my interview experience.......

My interview date was August 4, 2009 at 8:30am. A night before couldn't sleep.... so tense.... hehehehe.... but i kept telling myself why should I be tense since our marriage is bonafide (true / it isn't fixed or what - it is based on attraction and love...). But then, you can't help it.... imagining infront of the consul.... interrogated.... heheheheh just a normal reaction or feeling....

Anyway, the following morning, I said to myself, this is it.... I should go there.... hehehehehe.... at about 630 am forestrose texted me that she is already at the embassy while I am still at seven eleven heheheheh having coffee... I ate a bit since I was thinking that it would be a long day...

At about 7am, I was already at the US embassy. The guard checked my appointment letter and my ID. And then he told me to proceed to gate 2. Actually inside I don't know where to go, but I just followed the blue arrow indicating for IMMIGRANT VISA. (You can go there earlier than your sked time... it's better that way so you will finish early)

Inside, there is a booth.... I showed again my appointment letter and then the girl handed me a no. and said to wait for my number to be called... that's the first step... I believe.... I waited in the waiting area.... and then someone called my name and told me to proceed to counter 16 for finger printing... while waiting for my turn... I saw forestrose ( I recognized her because we texted each other what we will be wearing hehehehehe).... at the finger printing....you have to state your name and your date of birth.... then the finger printing...... (there is someone who will be assisting you for that... so dont worry, just bring hanky incase your hands / fingers will be wet.... it cant be scanned..) After then, the one who assisted me told me to wait again for my no. to be called..... which will be the next step..... this step is the pre-screening step.... got 6045 no...., about 10 minutes my number flashed to window 25..... I felt nervous.... I said to myself, this is the beginning of the interview.... A Filipino lady screener.... she's quit strict..... she asked me few questions..... my name, date of birth, relation to my petitioner, where I met him, when did he come here, marriage date.... after which she told me if we have pictures together... so I handed her so many pics.... in a clearbook.... I pasted it hehehehehe. but then it is too many... she told me to just get it out of the clearbook.... so I gave it to her... after which she asked me if we have emails.... again,,, I had printed bulks of emails hahahhahahaha........ she told me to get it out from the clearbook because it can't pass through the window..... so I handed it to her....... (it seems she is so irritated hahahahha since it needs to be filed again).... hahahhahaha wacko.gif after receiving that emails she handed me the DS 230 (Biographic info that we have submitted and let me sign the portion that wasn't signed...) then she told me to wait for I will be called again....... After about 20 minutes of waiting my number flashed again at then I went inside the room..... and saw a handsome young American consul (he is handsome but my husband is more handsome than him.... hehehehehehe good.gif ) He greeted me "Magandang Umaga po" I also greeted back "Magandang Umaga po sir" I thought it would be all in English hahahahhaa..... I took a seat.... and he said to raise my right hand and asked me if I would promise to tell only the truth.... He asked me my name.... and then examined my papers..... and later asked. "Why didn't you marry at an early age? I told him... I haven't found the right man for me at that time until I found my hubby.... He just looked at me....maybe not satisfied with my answer..... He told me that I just wonder because many Filipinas would marry at an early age.... I answered again... that I haven't found the right guy for me at that time..... I wasn't thinking of age...... He again look at my papers and asked me .... Have you been out of the country and I said yes... I told him 3 countries and that I was there as a tourist..... He asked me again if I have a CEMAR.... and I said yes... I gave it to him... He examined it.... through that ultraviolet thing... heheheheh just like examining money if it is fake or not.... and after few minutes he stamped my papers... green stamped and told me.... YOUR VISA is approved"" And I said "Thank you, sir!" He told me to go to counter 37 and the girl gave me a pink slip... it states VISA FEE DELIVERY.... so I went and paid it at air21... which is at another booth....

I was so relieved! The first thing on my mind is to "Thank God!" kicking.gif And thank you all of YOU!!!

And to all who will be having their interviews.... GOODLUCK!!! And GOD BLess!!! star_smile.gif

we got our noa2 last week of july so why question is...what do i do next after we got our noa2...do i receive another letter or my fiance another letter from embassy?

pls pls help me..thank you and god bless

You are so lucky, congrats. This may help: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=129059 This was posted by Sheriff Uling. My petition was approved on July 16th so I am waiting to hear the petition has a case number and it has been forwarded to Manila. The US Embassy in Manila does not send out packet 4 anymore. You dowload the packet 4 from the embassy site. The link is in Sheriff Uling's post; the Philippines Guide. Now the petitioner can start rounding up or at least figuring what supporting documents will need to be submitted to the beneficiary with the I-134 form.

Right now it is just a wait until you get your case number. Once you get the case number You should be elgible for scheduling of the interview. Pat and I are right there with you, maybe just a couple weeks in front of you. Pat and I are glad to share information as we get it, please feel free to send a message for information or experiences. God bless.

Now, take this time to make sure to gather all of your bona fide relationship evidence, ie phone records, chat logs, cards, emails, etc. Start preparing for your package 3. getting ready for your medical. also, start preparing answers to the questions, and make sure you speak with confidence. good luck on the rest of your journey

    Hello..

Im so thankful for ur fast reply.

yeah, i do. i have another question, what other forms or important documents that i need it for the medical test?

thank u so much and god bless!

i am not sure about that, it seems the requirements vary from country to country. it has been almost a year since my husband had his medical done. i think he had to have a copy of his vaccination records. maybe you can post the question in the regional forum. good luck, my dear
