  1. Sigh. Well, due to some circumstances, me and my wife were a bit late sending in some forms after her green-card interview. We sent it in, but we just received a letter saying the case was abandoned. It says "There is no appeal of this decision, but this denial is without prejudice to your ability to renew your application before an Immigration judge."

We're just kinda lost and saddened. Do we have to start allll over again, including fee's and such? Who would we contact, do, etc?

  2. Alright, my wife arrived in march 20th, just got married on May 15th.

    We got the:

    I-864

    G-325

    I-485

    i-765

Applications filled out and ready to go. We are unsure how she gets a social security card. We're just wanting to make sure we have everything prepared before mailing anything out. We got this far and don't want anything ruining it! xD

    Also

All the info from her medical check-up for the k-1 visa was taken at the PoE airport. She doesn't have any medical info, like proof of vaccinations. Was that in that envelope?

    Thanks!

  3. whoa. you've made no mention of the I-134. You need to send that to her, suggest send it on or about the date that the INTERVIEW has been assigned.

This would also be a GREAT TIME to fill in yer VJ timeline over at http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/profile.php?id=70730

Well, the I-134 isn't part of the I-129F. I got the I-134 and all proof of income and affidavit all set to go. It's the I-129F copy stuff I am worried about. And ok, I can sign the new forms around the date the interview will be on or around. What about not having my birth certificate? Would hate this one thing to be the cause of denial.

  4. I am about to mail off all the information I need to give my fiance in Russia for the k-1 Visa. We're so excited that if it's approved, she'll be here in less then a month. I am a bit worried tho. I do not have an entire copy of the i-129F I sent USCIS. I have all the proof of meeting, no problem, pictures and ticket stubs. I don't have the originals of the actual I-129F and G-325 forms. Also, stupid me, I sent my original birth certificate to USCIS, and even tho I ordered a new one last week, it still hasn't arrived. I need to mail all this out very soon to make sure it gets to her in time...What's the chances of it being denied if I don't have an exact copies? I can fill the forms out again, but I don't know the dates I signed the previous ones in...Please someone let me know...This is just eating at me! Don't want to wait even longer to get my fiance here. :-/ Thanks for any help.

  5. Alright, just about to send the last stuff to my fiance for her interview...Tho I'm a little panicky...Might not of been smart of me, but I send USCIS the original copy of my birth certifcate. Of course I haven't gotten it back yet. I ordered a new one...But won't be here in time for me to mail all the stuff to my fiance with her interview on the 18th of this month...Is not including an entire exact copy of the i-129f to her for the interview a "Do or Die" thing...Very worried here. >_>

  6. You must have some kind of emails you can print, or if you have to, start emailing now or logging now and she can print something out to take with her and she can always say there was a problem and most got lost.

You must have sent her a couple of greeting cards, so she can use that.

Just do the best you can, most of the immigration officers are nice, and as long as you have everything else perfect, then if you only have a few pages of email or a couple of cards, it might be ok.

I did this 3 times and all 3 times they never looked at the stack of 500 pages of emails, but you need to have something, you can't give her a ream of blank paper with one email on top.

Well, most of our talking was done over AIM or ICQ. I've been to visit her in Russia twice now, so I got tickets and lots of pictures to send in as well. And still got tons of logs...Just not the exact ones that I sent initially at the beginning of the I-129F.

  7. Sorry, I have never used the feature before. I would contact HR Dept. tomorrow, they should be able to supply the document you need. I would give them ample time to contact payroll and request the income information they will need to write the verification of employment letter. I will have to do the same thing soon( hopefully soon ). Anyway, I think that HR or payroll could supply the needed document!

Sad thing is, HR is the one who gave me this website. They specifically told me they don't do proof of employments within the company at all...All done through this website. Grr...So annoying! :-/

  8. Hey Morrin, My company also uses that system, have you checked the site for verification of employment? I know I have seen this feature on the site, this may give you the required information! If not, you will have to contact your company's Human Resource Dept for instructions!

Tried using the site, but it seems I have to give the verifier the 'salery key' and then they have to sign up on the webpage and then even pay to verify someones employment...And when I tried to sign up and register as a verifier, it was asking for information I just did not have.

  9. What about pay stubs? Do you get them from your job? Or perhaps bank invoices if you get direct deposit?

I don't get paystubs, but I can log into the company website and print out pretty much a paystub that shows how much money i've made in the year, hourly income, etc. Just hoping I can use anything other then an official letter of proof of employment from this website. Would rather use paystubs/even online ones I can print out, W-2, or whatever.

  10. Ok, it seems my job doesn't do it's own proof of employment papers, and has a third party company doing the... www.theworknumber.com

Haven't purchased anything from them yet (costs to get your proof of employment and income from this site.). Will this be sufficient for the k-1 visa's proof of employment, since it says about needing to be signed and on a letterhead. Would a W-2 work as well or not? My fiance's interview is late february, so hoping to get this last item done quickly...

  11. Was born in the united states. I got my birth certificate from South carolina, where I was born. Got the stamped legal name change paperwork from the Armstrong county courthouse in Pennsylvania, where I got the name change from. And I did send EVERY page of my passport...A nice big stack of papers, that was...

When I mailed in the original packet, the I-129F and all, I mailed in both a copy of my Birth-Certificate, a notified letter of my last name change when my grandparnets had it changed when I was 15, as well the copy of my passport. I just got a Request for Evidence for more proof of my citizenship...Should I just resent both of those again, or just one, or what? This is confusing...@_@

    Thanks.

Were you born in the US? Is your current name different from the name on your birth certificate? I'm assuming the answer to both of these is "yes", which is why they may have had a problem with your evidence.

By "notified letter" I presume you mean "notarized". A notary stamp in the US is usually just for the purpose of witnessing a signature. It doesn't certify the contents of the document - only that the signature was made by the person indicated. Who was the "letter" from, and does it prove your legal name change? Were you adopted when you were 15?

Did you send copies of every page of your passport?
