  1. I am going through this process

    I filed this month for I 485 , I 785 and I 131

All for just one check of $ 1010 no more.

Just received all three NOA1 receipts today in the mail.

one for each of the three aplications

if you are filing for I 785 or/and I 131 separate and after you filed for I 485, Please include a copy of NOA1 you received from I 485.

In other words . there is NO fee for I 785 and I 131 if you are filing or filed for I 485.

  2. Just called the National Visa Office (department of state) and i was told the Havana Interests section issued her visa on October 22. Now she can go and pick it up with her pass.

Notice that National Visa Office is not the same as National Visa Center. It was very convenient to have their number to check the visa status from here the U.S.

    Thank you all !!!!!!!!!!

    thank you visajourney.com !!!!!!!

Oh goodness, I burst into tears when I checked my email... and I'm here at work!

Streaks aside, I am so happy!

  4. Thank you everyone! I am so excited...I called Majid and he thought I was kidding...lol. What a wonderful way to wake up!

Now I need to research on what I need to do next?!?! I know I need to start calling the NVC in a couple of days to be sure they get it...then they give me a different # right?

By the time you receive your NOA2 hard copy in the mail. Your case will be on its way to the consulate. Wait for Noa2 in about 4 days from now.

I received the letter from NVC day or two after NOA2 letter.

  5. Thank you guys. I wish you all the best tooo!!!

Good to know that once it's approved by CIS every step takes couple days or a week or so to complete.

I will keep you all posted. But remember that my case went to the US interests section in Havana Cuba. Things may be a little different there than in your fiance's country.

  6. hello

I got a letter from NVC dated August 7 saying they have received and approved my petition 129f and they will forward it within a week to the appropriate visa-issuing post where the interview will take place.

I immediately called and they told me it was shipped to the consulate on August 6.

    so far so good.

NVC things are really moving fast now.

now i am trying to track the shipment but i have no luck. will try later. maybe DHL hasn't updated their system yet

  7. Did you file for a military expedite, by chance?

If not, I really do reiterate the desire to have my file buried in that same box.

They did seem to be working in overdrive yesterday... (sad to say when there's only some six approvals, but hey, still major improvement to one or two). Maybe a few will kick that trend into high gear one last day before the weekend? Maybe, perhaps?

No. I did not file military expedite.

Now I am waiting for the official NOA2 document in mail.

My fiancee has no property in Cuba so the rest of the process should be smooth.

Yes Cubans need permission from the government to leave the island, it's sort of a visa that is only given once you are cleared to go. That means EVERYTHING you have is now for the government . The goes from house, bank accounts, bicycle, TV, rice maker ....

    good luck guys!!!

I ll be here informing you about my progress and congratulating you on your approvals which I am sure are just around the corner.
