  1. Can anybody help me what to do? i already have my green card and just recently we always have a fight with my husband and he told me that he want to cancel all my papers when i try to leave the house because i ask his permission to let me go and give space and if ever things is sort out he knows where he to find me. I just want him to think and realize all the things that he'd done to me but he even told me that once i step out from the house he will notify the police of my leaving and im scared about it. i just want space....pls do help...thanks

  2. Even if I do this, they want the form I-693, which needs to be completed by a civil surgeon here, right? So even if they get the copy of the medical, I still need to go to a civil surgeon and re-do what I already did... I don't get it.

hi, you really need to go to the civil surgeon accredited by the USCIS. Just browse the uscis site and you can find there the list of civil surgeons accorsing to your area. i just did last week and paid $150 and also if they found out that im positive to skin tuberculosis they have to give me x-ray and pay another $50 and more and more if they find out something with regards to your health but i am thankful that i am negative on it and all the expense i paid is only $150.

  3. hello everyone, i just want to know what are the disadvantages of having an approved I-131. And If i have this approval do i really need to go outside US? Or can i just apply this in case of emergency arises.

Im confused about this, because if im not mistaken this topic was discussed during the counseling that when u apply this parole the processing of your citizenship would be delayed because once you are already in the US you must stay 2 years without leaving the country to make your application faster. I just cant remember clearly about this so please give me some idea because we're planning to file AOS and I-765.

thanks everyone and have a blessed day.

  4. HI i was hoping someone could answer a question for me. I'm going to the Philippines in a few months and probably will be doing a k-1 visa. My fiancee has a problem with her birth certificate her last name is spelled wrong. Do we have to fix it now for the I129 application after we meet or just have it ready for her final interview at the embassy in manila. Also how does she get the birth certificate fixed so we don't have any problems and how much will it cost to do so.

Hi, i have the same case with your fiancee. and it took me 3 months to process for the correction and it depends on what is to be corrected. How many letters was misspelled? If only a wrong spelling is to be corrected it could only be done between the Local Civil Registrar and the LRC will forward it to the NSO, but if it is about the Gender, Date of Birth and the whole name or last name the court will take charge of it. And since it's only a spelling its just minor, but i takes 6 months but it can be done for only 3 months it depends if the registrar is not that busy. BUT.... you can file your petition if you will not change anything on her BC. and be sure that all the required documents from her has the same name or infos based on her BC from the NSO. so, you have to choose, or let your fiancee decide it to change or not to change... And you can fix it later i think when you get married :) Think about it.

  5. hi, i think the medical is a week before the interview thats what the operator told me when i received my appointment. Well, she can stay there because medical exam takes two days, and if you want her to stay there week straight, let her attend the cfo seminar while waiting for her interview to make all those three transactions there in manila. So, she can do here medical for two days, she must come there sunday then by monday she will go to st. luke, then after two days she must attend the CFO seminar that is only for one day seminar, then she can have her interview. and when the consul approved her for visa then she can wait at home i mean in cebu and there she can stamp her visa for the sticker there in cebu which is needed before departure. what do you think? and if you want to find a cheaper place to stay here in manila i can recommend you at Natividad Pension house, its a nice place, clean and peaceful. :) Think about it.

  6. Hello Riz, yes i already did last Tuesday and the agent told me that i have to wait for 6 weeks to hear anything from them and if i don't receive any notice or letter from them within that period that's the time i would call them again.... hmmmm i just wish i could get it not that long, so sad!

6 weeks is their standard timeframe. Hopefully you will get it soon. For the meantime, relax and as much as possible enjoy and spend enough time with your family and friends while waiting for your visa. It's your last chance to stay with them that long. Pag andito ka na, you will miss everyone and everything in Pinas.

Yea, thanks... i just need a prayer :)...God bless you...

  8. as what ive learned from my cousin's case... they had to turn in additional document after the interview and they really waited 6 weeks until they made a follow-call. my cousins' fiance just got here in the US just fine....

you should be fine.... so nothing to worry....

Thank you everyone, im kinda relieve now, coz of the situation. I receive a blue slip and a white one which the consul encircled the document to be submitted, the releasing section gave my passport and i asked her before leaving the USE if when i have my nbi do i need to send my passport with the document? and she said yes, so i sent it a day after my interview because i was thinking that it will just take a shorter time when i give what they want. my problem is just a letter of my middle name that i change from the NSO that instead or O it should be U. But before that letter was corrected i've been using the letter O in my middle name.

OMG! i hope it wont take long and become eligible because i really want to be with my fiance.... im supposed to travel on aug 15 but was sad with the result of my interview.....:(

  9. Hello Everyone,

This is my first time here and i'm eager to get some infos, ideas and opinions regarding my case. I was interviewed last July 14, 2009 for K1 visa, at USE Manila. Everything is in there with regards to my documents, all are original. But one thing that the consul found out is with regards to my birth certificate. I have a BC from NSO which is corrected because of typographical error from the LCR. There is one letter on my middle name that was change. For all my transactions and documents i used my corrected name but the consul ask me to send an NBI copy with a.k.a. of my previous name used. A day after my interview i went home and get right away and NBI and sent it the same day. I tried calling the Immigration Visa for follow up if they receive my mail and they received it July 21, 2009. Then i ask the operator if i am eligible for a visa but he said that i have to wait for 6 weeks for further notice from the IV and if after that period i still dont received any notice or call from the IV thats the time i can ring back the embassy so that they can make a report for my case.

My question is, am i eligible for the visa? the consul only required me that one document and i sent it to them and since my clearance has no problem from the NBI. I'm just felt so worried and nervous waiting for my visa if they will grant me that.

Please help me any ideas with same case with me just to tone up my feelings.

Thanks everyone and have a nice day.
