My mother(LPR in the Us) currently in the Philippines right now but want to petition her son that is in the Philippines.. Can she start the petition even if she is still in the Philippines? I appreciate any response. Thank you!

My mother is a greencard holder and she wants to petition her unmarried son. My father's first name was misspelled(one letter) on his BC and it will take months to change. Is there going to be a problem if my mother files the petition anyway with the misspelled BC?

I would really appreciate anyone who can tell me who had recently had their seminar at CFO in manila.

My mom just got her visa from manila embassy and I would like her to have her seminar and all. Does she need to make an appointment to have her seminar done? Or can she just walk in without an appointment?

I got the checklist email today and it listed what they need from me & my parents. There were gaps in my mom's residence (#30 part1) so she needs to redo it. They need Original copies of their BC & MC which I don't understand.I sent certified copy from NSO (PI's issuing authority) & attached it to my mom's case & copy to my dad's case. And also my MC which I sent & bears official seal & certified, they still need me to send the same thing again.. Does anybody received the same thing? Original or certified original to be sent back to NVC?

thanks raj. I did what u told me. they said i have to wait 3 to 6 weeks before they will send me a letter with a visa number. i gave them my email add too. thank you so much. Now i feel better.

I got my Mom's I130 Approval Notice in the mail dated October 7, 2009. In the letter says they forwarded the original visa petition to the NVC. Its more than 3 weeks and i got nothing from NVC yet. My friends got their letters from NVC just 2 weeks after their approval notice. I'm just wondering whats going on. PLS Help. I'm hoping it will come next week???

They have a list of requirements in the www.USCIS.Gov saying you only need to submit birth certificate, copy of passport and the filled out form I-130. Are there any documents that i need to submit together with these? Thank you so much. Any information would be very helpful.
