YES, at last I am writing here as an American now Well, it doesnt feel so different but no more hassles and nobody can mess with us anymore:))

That is a big relief...

Ceremony was cool. It was very crowded. Families, kids....It was about 1.5 hours total. You first get in a line, then you give your GC and the letter, then the officer explains things for about 15 minutes, then judge comes, you read the oath with him, then sing the anthem and then they give you the Naturilization certificate and you are a citizen....

WOW!!! Almost 4 years...The whole thing...I think I am realizing it slowly...hehe

So that is it for now. I couldnt go to SSN office or post office yet to do other things. But I researched it, you can change your SS information via mail if you dont want to wait in the office. Post offices only do passports between 10AM and 3PM. That is it.

officer called me yesterday and said she looked at the paperwork and she approved it but she was so scared how i found out her number. it was pretty easy hehe!!so she said i ll get a letter in 4 weeks with my oath date...last step:) so you can change mine to black now too:)) COOOOL!!!

mine didn't go so smooth unfortunately. it has always been like this. I don't know the outcome yet. she didnt find the papers i brought enough and asked for more information. Gave me a paper saying that decision cant be made yet. So wednesday night we sat with my wife and printed pictures alot of financial papers bla bla.. about 100 pages of papers. I dropped them off yesterday as she said. So I never heard from her. Called her office, she didnt pick the phone, I left her a message. I am sure she approved the stuff yesterday after she got the papers so I am waiting for an oath letter. But it may be a rejected letter which is gonna suck that i ll have to appeal and bla bla. I dont know next step right now and other than that questions were same civic questions which were easy.

So that is it for now. If i hear any updates, I will let you know. Is there any other way that I can learn the outcome of the interview other than contacting her? I mean website is never updated or phone line, so??

why did you call FBI? is it something required? Or you did it for some other reason?

Yes I filed it last friday June 27. It is received today June 30th 2008. So lets see how fast it will go...if there are other people who sent in june to Nebraska, let us know, so we will have an idea...

I became a permanent resident on 09/14/2005 based on marriage we are still happily married, so it is almost 3 years now.

For citizenship, In the documents I read it says you should wait 3 years to send them but I also heard and read somewhere else you can send your papers 90 days before the total 3 years of permanent residency.

Which one is right? Should i wait or just prepare the papers and send them?

Another thing is I have never been out of US more than 6 months but I went to vacations outside the country for the total of 120 days ( not at once), do i have to deduct those days to calculate that 3 years? or just the dates are enough...

I have been in USA since September 2005. I have left the country couple of times to visit home just around 2 weeks each time. And I am looking at the citizenship guide now, it says if you are 18 years old or more and is married to a US citizen you have to be a 3 year resident but I have been a resident for 2 years and 4 months(Sep 2005 to Feb 2008) but married to my wife more than 3 years...

I also see under some topics some people apply for citizenship while their condition removals are pending...My conditions are removed and I am expecting my new GC any day in the mail. So What am I supposed to do? Just wait until September 2008 to fill 3 years of residency, or Can I apply right now?

A few days ago I had mentioned that I recd an email from USCIS stating that they ordered production of my card. This morning I recd another email..this time the days is Feb 12...!!!! how is this possible..?? has it happened to anyone else??? why would they send duplicate email with the same info, but diff date???

exact same thing happened to me..no need to worry i think...Feb 8 they sent card ordered email twice, and feb 12 sent application approved email...my logical order says first you should approve an application and then order a new card but they order the card and then approve it...dont know...kinda funny...but i am not worried about the duplicate letter because they both say the same thing...

I am talking about credit cards or other bills.... like I sent in a Netflix and a Sirius satellite bill that were just in my hubby's name but they show that we live at the same address....

back here...We got a letter from INS for more evidence, asking for some documents that shows we live together and some documents that we bought somethings together...

My wife owned a house before I was here, and it is her mortgage that we didnt wanna touch, she is keeping it on her name, but other than that we have credit cards that we own together, we have a car payment we are paying together...

they are asking for utility bills that has both our names but again we didnt bother to change utilities on both our names, she has them on her name but now we called the gas and electric company to put both our names on the bills...so i think that will be something?

We sent our tax returns together, our joint checking and savings account, a travel itinerary that we took together...couple pictures of some special days...

so I am gonna submit somethings again cause it is in the letter but as I said they are asking for a lease or mortgage payment on both our names but we dont have it...she is not taking any rent from me and the house is on her name so i dont know...

we thought to take some letters from neighboors that says we live together...what do you think? what suggestions can you give? And real question is this RFE means that somehthing is wrong or is it just a standard procedure?

What if they dont like the evidence we submit? then what happens?

You did not send any letter of a friends?? usually you need to send letter of someone testifying that they know you guys a married couple.... (they ask for 2 letter at least)

when we filed, my husband and I send:

1 (since we got married on 2004) we send income taxes of 04,05 and 06

2 we send rent lease from 04,05 and 06... actually since we did not have 05 (cause the landlord never issued one) he wrote a letter for us.

3 we send utility bills (one from each year 04,05,06 and 07)

4 we send bank statements

5 we send car insurance policies

6 we send 2 letter from friends

7 we send wedding pictures

8 we send an invitation to a wedding in Orlando (our both names in the letter)

9 a copy of our driver licenses with of course same address

and... I think that it

as you just mentioned we sent all the income taxes of 2005-06...letters from 2 friends...our latest bank statements...driver licences...car insurances on both our neames...health insurance that i am on her health insurance plan...and couple more things i just didnt mention all of them...

but now i am gonna send some things that i mentioned above again and also my life insurance that she is the beneficiary, utility bills when they come to both our names....

but what happens if they think those evidence is not enough too? I think we send plenty but you know you never know...so what happens?
