Alice, I still haven't received ANYTHING! No interview letter, no EAD Card, no appoval notice letter! I am getting anxious. Did it get lost somewhere?
I kinda want to call the customer service today and ask. -

i'm so happy for you all! i'm kinda concerned with my situation though! my timeline is as similar to 1LUVv and everyone but i haven't received my EAD card or an interview letter yet. i'm really hoping im going to get something in the mail tomorrow. I-765 was last touched yesterday.

Ok, I've just received the 3rd email from USCIS today. The first 2 were "card production ordered." This one says "Approval Notice Sent."
What does that mean? Does it mean they have mailed the me actual work permit or is it just a notice saying that it's approved and I should be receiving the actual card soon?

This is my timeline. Today is 11/05/09. It's been 2 weeks since my biometric and I haven't got any letter or email from the USCIS. I checked online and it says that all my forms were last updated on 10/28/09. Should I be receiving anything soon? A work permit maybe? Thanks!

Or your husband needs to get another job or 2? Do you plan on staying in the US or going back to your home country to await a Visa interview?
Hi, I plan to stay here in the US because we can't afford to fly back and forth.
If my husband gets another job, he can combine the 2 incomes and if it's over $1,520 a month then it is most likely that we won't need a joint sponsor, is that correct?
As soon as he gets a 2nd job, we can put that in the I-864 right? And get his employment verification from his new employer? There is no time required that he has to have been working at that job for a period of time right? Because he is looking for a 2nd job right now.

Updated!
I called the immigration and he told me that it's very smart to apply now before my visa expires and they will send us a RFE to ask for a joint sponsor and will give us time to find one. We're still looking for a joint sponsor but we're going to go ahead and mail all the forms to them.

hello there!!!
well i have had the dilemma before, you NEED to get a joint sponsor, it is not easy as it requires very intimate financial details of someone's life..but try and explain your position to his family members, employer or friends... the minimum salary bas is $21,800..im someone can help. be careful if that person has dependents, foollw the poverty line guide.
once, you get a co-sponsor, you can finish the filing...but there is a number you can call for immigration questions 1888 988 8678. they can tell you if you need to get a ne xtension whilst you wait for a cos-sponsor!

One more question, my family in Thailand has just bought a new house. I think it's in my name too. I'll have to check..
If it is in my name, can I add the value of the house to the I-864?
'Cuz I read in the instruction and it says that we can add my income (from continuous resource) and my assets to combine with my husband's income to meet the requirement.

I know we didn't plan it well but that's because we didn't plan to get married! And the possible joint sponsors that we know..they don't want to do it. That's our main problem. We have all the paperwork and documents required ready. We just need a joint sponsor! It's so stressful!!
We would consider me going back to my country but it's not going to do anything better because he still won't be able to make that money to meet the requirement and we don't know a lot of people that would be our joint sponsor
We do not want to be apart

I was granted to stay for 6 months. We got married on the 4th month of my stay. We didn't plan to get married.
I came to visit him to see how we would do together and we're so perfect for each other!!
We met last year in California. I was backpacking and he was working in the hostel.
We only got to know each other for only 3 weeks then I had to go back to my country.
We were emailing, chatting and talking on the phone for 4 months before I came here in March 09.
We decided to get married but the chance of us finding a joint sponsor is very slim

If I apply for a green card without a joint sponsor (which I need), will the USCIS send us a letter to let us know that we need a joint sponsor? Will they give us time to find one? I just want to apply ASAP before my visa expires which is in less than 60 days!

We're about to apply for AOS and my B-2 visa is expiring in less than 2 months. Let's say, we apply before my visa expires, then I won't over stay 'cuz the clock stops ticking when I apply. But if they decide to deny our case and it's been like 3 months later, will I automatically overstay? Or would I be given a period of time to file for an appeal or to return to my country?

Hey, I'm from Thailand and I've recently just got married to a US citizen. He doesn't make enough to meet the required minimum income. We've been asking the people that we know to help us but no one would be our joint sponsor.
Is there any other way to do this, like file for an appeal or something? Would an attorney help? Please help! We're desperate and my visa (B-2) is expiring in less than 2 months. Should I file to extend my stay with the USCIS? 'Cuz we will need more time to keep looking for a joint sponsor. I don't know anyone here and he doesn't have any close friends... We just want to be together
