Hi all!!! I sent my package to Vermont Center and I had my bio done on March 2nd.... I am a little worried because I did not have any touches after I had my bio... I am wondering if they got it right, took my information because I heard that usually people have touch after bio done.... Mine is still on Received Status.... Is anybody in same situation? No touches even after bio? Thanks

Another GCless day. Interviewed on 05/11 and nothing in the mail.

I had my interview on May 3rd... And no GC yet...

I actually received EAD card... But the office said that I was not suppose to receive anymore, as soon as GC will replace it...

Ai..ai... who knows what is happening?

Do you think with the stamp (square, 551)I can leave the country and come back without any problem???

I had interview today and I was approved!! Yeeahhh!!

Very fast... The IO was just talking to us.... Asked where we met, when...

Well... Actually I am H1B visa holder valid until 2012. I was thinking she could ask why I am applying now if I am ok here... job, etc.

But she only asked where I work.. That is it. In the end she said my GC will be in the mail in about 10 days...

One question.... I did not receive any message or email saying that my GC has been produced... Some people got this message right after interview.

Should I have some doubts about my approval??? She already stamped my passport...

Uaaauuu!!!! Congratulations!!

We got approved!!!! Yay!!!! It was short and sweet, we got there just in time. Got called in, sworn in and the lady was very nice and made us comfortable. She said: "We'll go thru ur applications and then if u have any questions u can ask me. Will be done in 20 min not more, it's time for lunch and i'm hungry" we just laughed

She went thru all of it name, address, phone number... all we were saying is yes and smiling. Then she went on to -

where did u meet?

when did u get married?

have u met each others families?

where do u work?

what are ur plans for the future?

After all that she pulled out a letter of approval and congratulated us, i couldn't believe we were done! She didn't ask to see any pictures or ask any personal questions, said that we should get my card in 3 weeks and send us on our way

So, it was a good experience and i wish all of u the same

Yesterday they touched my I-485 and I-130. My interview it is in 1 week.

They did not touch my EAD (I-765). And I don't think I will get before interview...

I am a little afraid... Why do they touch now??? A week before interview?

Does anyone has some clue?

Hey guys! no word on anything on my case =/ ... I'm happy there's approvals and interviews pouring in!! I bet it feels awesome to be over and done with all this..

I really don't know if I should be worried?? no interview letter and no case transfer or any movement of some sort since March 18th?? anyone on the same page as I am?

Hello!! I did the biometrics in the same day you did... However, I already received my interview date..

Maybe you should call USCIS... It happen to my friend that they sent the interview date in wrong address and she miss the date. They were saying that she need to start everything again... Then she proved that was not her fault and they schedule a new date...

Hey Everyone!! I've been following the forum quite some time now and just now decided to join. I am kinda worried that I haven't received anything from USCIS since the biometrics appt on March 17th =/ .. only touches on March 18th and that's about it. Should I be worried? My case hasn't been transfered or if it has, they didn't send me an notice.. gulp

Hi Everybody!

Since I applied for my AOS, I had just 2 touches... One when they received and another one after my biometrics. My I-485 it is still in acceptance and other in initial review.

HOWEVER, I got my interview letter today!!! Yiipeeeee!!! It took exactly 15 days after my biometrics. So, do not worry! Even if they are not touching, they still working on our papers!

AP is advanced parole.

It's a document that lets you re-enter the US incase you had to leave for an emergency while your AOS is still processing.

What does this mean, when it gets transferred to CSC, and why is that a good thing?

Yes, it's considered a "touch" when the "last update" field changes. There might not be another change made to your status but when that date changes, it's a touch.

Buaaa... Nothing has been touched since Feb 26th.

And my I485 it is still in acceptance only...

QUESTION..

It says in the USCIS page that acceptance step takes 2 days since they receive.

They receive mine in 23rd and today it is 26th and my I-485 it is still in this first step. (I-130 and I-765 are in initial review)

Is there anybody that had this kind of "problem"? Do you think I will have some RFE or maybe they just did not updated?

A "touch' is when the "Last Updated" column on the USCIS case status website changes. For example, on our case status this morning it showed the last update was done on 2/24/10. I just checked it a few minutes ago and we'd had a "touch" because now the last update shows as 2/26/10. Nothing else had changed, the status was still on Initial Review so I'm thinking that maybe they sent out our biometrics letter.

Hi Mimayu....most of us, me included, in that same period are just starting to receive our email updates and NOA1's. I would think you'd have something on your filing soon!!

Me and my husband filled join tax return for last year (2009) because I have H1B visa. We both individually meet the criteria of poverty to filled EZ form.

However, I am sending my AOS package but I am not sure if I should send I-864EZ, because it says that the sponsor should be the only person considered in his tax refund.

What should I do? Can he filled I-864EZ even if I am also in his tax return?

I have a question regarding my husband last name. I would like to change to his last name. How should I do?

Can I fill out all the application (I 485 / ! 130 etc) with his last name? Is there a option asking if I want to change? I did not find yet..
